Angus cattle, Angus activites, and Angus people have been an important part of the Dameron Family for the past four decades. Gary and his family began purchasing registered Angus females in the mid 1960’s to add to the small commercial herd started by his father and grandfather. Today the herd consists of approximately 200 registered angus cows and focuses on raising elite angus genetics that succ
essfully compete at many national, regional, and local shows. The Dameron Program has produced 3 national champion bulls, 16 grand or reserve grand champions at the National Junior Angus Show, over 28 grand or reserve champions at the Illinois State Fair, as well as numerous other winners across the country. Currently we market the majority of our heifer calves, cows and bred heifers through our annual “Focus on the Future” fall production sale. The sale is held the first Saturday after Thanksgiving each year. A select group of animals are also offered in several consignment sales as well as privately throughout the year.
