We will have summer crisp lettuce in the stand this weekend as well as kale mix and spinach! We also still have lots of geraniums, zinnias, cucumber and zucchini plants!

All of our soybeans are in and the corn is coming up! Onto planting all the vegetable starts we have in the greenhouse!

Today we will be working to stock the stand with everything we currently have available now that the weather is semi straightened out. We will have a few dozen eggs, spinach, kale, geraniums, vegetable plants and zinnias. Prices will be posted on the chalkboard inside the stand.

Duck eggs are reduced price to $3/dozen. Chicken eggs are still $4. Yes, we understand that some places are selling eggs for less, but the price of feed has not come down, people just flooded the egg market. We cut from 150 layers last year down to 55 for this year so eggs will be first come, first serve, no holds.

Oats and hay are all planted! Onto transplanting some lettuce and melons and planting soybeans!

Farmers markets are great but they aren't every day of the week and are at times usually not convenient for a work schedule. We have known this for a long time and have kept hours to accommodate different schedules. That is the beauty of the roadside stand! Our building is open for business every day, 12 hours a day, at least. The only item sold that we do not produce ourselves is the maple syrup, which we get from an acquaintance up north. This does put us at a disadvantage at times due to not having products available when some people may want them. But, we firmly believe that selling what you produce is the most honest way to do business. There are no auction boxes hiding in our storage shed or loads of vegetables bought cheap at Eastern Market and then brought back to you with a markup here!

We would also like to mention that we plan to start doing some delivery service for our local customers if we get enough interest this year. We hope this makes it easier to do business with us as we do understand it can be inconvenient to drive out to the stand as opposed to going to the grocery store.

We look forward to serving you in 2026 and hope you will help us make this our best season yet!
