The zinnias are still going, probably the last glad I will have out of the field this year. Hopefully the frost holds off a few more weeks until the zinnias are completely done.

Our season may be starting to slow down but check out this arrangement that we got out of the field. 🌻💐

So today I started to cut some of the dead flowers (dead head). Yes we still have blooms but they are slowing down some. So what do we do with the ones that I have started to cut? One some of the smaller ones we cut and fed to the cattle tonight they love them. The bigger heads like the ones pictured we will wait a little longer to cut them and then we will collect the seeds. This year we will be collecting most the seeds to mix in the cattle feed for this winter. We do feed the seeds to them in moderation. Feeding whole sunflower seeds or sunflower byproducts to cattle provides a rich source of energy, fat, and protein that can boost milk production and improve overall animal health.

Thank you Curt for the vases it is greatly appreciated! 😊🌻
