The first babies hatched in the new barn this morning! We are far from being “finished” with all our renovations and setup but this hatch gets us one step closer.

People tell us all the time we need a truck.

My Prius does a pretty dang good job of hauling stuff for us! We needed an extra door for our nursery and we found one in the junk room of our gift shop. So from one building to another this door travels in my little ol’ Prius. Hauling supplies and getting 50 mpg at the same time!

I hate my voice and I hate being on camera but a teacher asked me to do a tour of my farm and answer some questions his students had about eating bugs. So, with Sammie's help I shot basic video around the farm and answered questions. I played around with various editing softwares and finally got a somewhat presentable video. I do plan to do more in the future so feel free to leave comments on what you'd want to see.

Come on a tour of Kentucky's oldest cricket farm and the first to explore the idea of crickets as an alternative protein source.--This is my first time shoot...

Why insects?

This could change the world! That’s what TJ thought after listening to a podcast on insect protein.

Plentiful Protein Products (P^3) may have been born from that podcast in October 2019 but it stands on a field of practice that is vast and old as time. Eating insects for most of the world is commonplace. We know that the hardest insect to eat is the first one but we can promise you that it won't be the last. They are tasty and can be used in a variety of ways.

At P^3, we dedicated to continually looking for ways to reduce the impact we have on our beautiful planet. With cricket farming, it is just one way that we are able to drastically reduce the impact that our diets have on the planet.
