With the high near 53 degrees today, the bees sure were out and about. I couldn't get to all my bee yards today but this one is looking promising.

This weather is making the bees start bearding on the front entrance. Good ventilation is key to keeping the hive cool. but its hard to stay cool when it's 93 degrees. They do this to keep themselves and the hive cooler. Beekeepers call it bearding because they will hang off the entrance looking like a beard

Checked on a few of my new hives this morning. The hives are growing strong and the queens are laying eggs very well. Can you spot the queen?

Bees are filling the the frames full of honey and are starting to cap it. This year is looking to be a good year for the honey havest.
