OUR JOURNEY WITH DEXTERS HAS ENDED – BUT WE HAVE A SECRET!
Hello Dear Friends!
I know we haven’t posted in some time – our deepest apologies! It has been a very busy eight months! Let me explain…
As many of you already know, our journey with Dexters has regrettably ended.
Last year, we made the decision to leave Missouri to be closer to family. The miles that separated us were just too much to bear and as hard as we tried, we could not overcome it. When we made the decision to move, we didn’t know what the future held for us. There were many questions we couldn’t answer at the time. The biggest question that lingered was whether we would be able to acquire enough land to continue our Dexter cattle operation. As hard as it was, this led to our decision to sell the herd in hopes of being able to acquire more Dexters once we got settled.
We loved our Dexters and their gentle nature. Dexters were very much a part of our lives. They were the catalyst that led to all the wonderful people we met along the way! We greatly miss the presence of Dexters in our life, and they will always have a special place in our hearts. We do not regret one second of our journey and we will always be strong advocates for the breed!
As it turns out, we couldn’t acquire the land we needed to continue our Dexter cattle operation and still be in relative proximity to our families. For those of you who know us personally, you know we couldn’t let the adventure end there!
We have finally settled in Manila, Utah, just one hour from our previous location in Fort Bridger, Wyoming. We have evaluated our resources and are taking the knowledge we have acquired from raising Dexter cattle to close one chapter and open another. Is it the right direction? We think so, but time will tell! That’s where the adventure lies…
I can’t tell you anything yet! However, we are very excited to share this new chapter with you and hope you will continue to FOLLOW US as we embark on our new journey! Who knows, maybe we will be able to continue some of the relationships we built with Dexters! How awesome would that be?
For now, I will leave you with a few cherished memories…Stay tuned!
