If you would, add us onto your prayer list. We need rain badly. It's easily been over a month since we had any measurable rain. We need some divine intervention quickly.

We have several fall yearling bulls this year. We have red and black polled and black horned. All of the bulls can be papered except a black polled bull. But I have all his numbers and lineage anyways. Text, call, or message us!

This bull can stand downwind of an oat and gain weight. Ive never seen a more easy fleshing bull. He hasn't hurt for grass, but hes been on no grain and out with cows since Memorial Day.

Today the neighbor's field caught on fire. It was accidental. It happens. But that doesn't make it any less scary. It was getting a little too close to the heifers pasture for my liking. But as I went after feed buckets sirens and lights started blaring, odd equipment started running, and smoke started our way. The whole group of heifers took off deep into brush and woods. So I knew there was no way they were coming back. I yelled for them until I was hoarse while praying the whole time. About the time I was going to give up and just be ready to let them out of the field as a last resort, this saint came back over the hill with all 11 others in tow. This heifer has a special place, she is the calf pictured in our profile picture. But she may have solidified her place here today. Maybe we should change Lucky's name to Divine Intervention.

MOBHA Breeder Spotlight Featuring Rising Creek Herefords!

Behind every Black Hereford herd is a family, a history, and a passion for raising quality cattle.

Our Breeder Spotlight gives us the opportunity to introduce the people behind the brands, their breeding philosophies, and what drives their operation. Whether they have a few cows or a large herd, every member plays an important role in the success and future of the Black Hereford breed.

Thank you, Stefanie, for sharing your story and for your commitment to preserving the traditions that make the Black Hereford breed so special.

If anyone is in need of a young bull we have several that will be yearlings this fall. Black and Red Hereford. All polled except (in my opinion) our best black bull. He, of course, would be horned. I also have three commercial baldy heifers still available. Two are brahman influenced BWF and the other is a RWF F1 Red Angus Hereford cross. Message or call me for information.

We are selling a few cows to make room for the extra heifers I didnt intend to keep. My 2 or 3 turned into 9 or 10. We will also have some weanling heifers available in the next month or so. As always, id rather sell off the farm. I feel like it keeps the girls from extra stress, cuts out dealing with a middle man, and eliminates exposure of what could be passed through the barn that can affect their health. They will be herefords or brahman influenced and vary in age. Most will just be going because I've kept daughters as replacements. Please send a message or call us if you are interested in what we have.

From one corner of Missouri to the next — and even a few neighboring states — the Missouri Black Hereford Association is proud to have members raising quality cattle and building strong relationships across the region.

This map gives a glimpse of where our members are located so fellow breeders, friends, and potential customers can connect with Black Hereford programs near them. We’re proud of the growing network of hardworking cattlemen and cattlewomen that make this association so special.

Whether you’re looking for genetics, advice, or just good people who share a passion for the breed, there’s likely a MOBHA member not too far away.
