**We have beginner calves for the beginner class and separate open calves for the open class.

We want to thank everyone for coming out this past Saturday, it was hot but we had a nice turnout. Thank you to our sponsors!! What a beautiful day we had at Burnt Chimney today for our 2021 Breakaway Series. We want to thank everyone who came out to support us, our sponsors who are greatly appreciated, Darlington Fire Hall ladies for setting up their food stand and our wonderful crew members. We have been wanting to put something fun like this together for a long time, and I finally got the opportunity with the amazing indoor & outdoor arenas, & calves over at Burnt Chimney Farm!
*we will be limiting the # of spots, so make sure to get yours reserved!*

Our goal with this is to help as many of you who want a chance to learn about breakaway roping a chance to get started in this amazing sport! We hope to schedule some weekly practices if this goes over well!

Some other details:
-Please bring a practice rope with a breakaway honda if you can. I can point you in the right direction of ordering one before the practice! This will just help things go quicker and smoother. Also, if you need help ordering a rope that is designed for breakaway roping, do not hesitate to ask!

- This is a great opportunity to get individualized help and a chance to run live cattle. However, at myself and the arena owners’ discretion, if we do not feel your horse is safe to rope live cattle off of out of the box, we have the right to keep you on the sled for your safety, that of ourselves, the horses, and the cattle.

-This is to be a fun, family friendly atmosphere. We do ask that those participating in the guided practice keep alcohol out of the equation.

-Those without a horse: we will have a stationary dummy horse and dummy for you to rope. We will also have multiple dummies on the ground.

-I will be working on everything from fundamentals to advanced tune ups, so feel free to reserve your ground spot even if you are very new to the event!
