If you’ve wondered why Two Teachers Flowers has been a little quiet this August, the answer is brought to you by the three W’s: weeds, work, and weather.

The weeds are thriving. The teachers are back at work. And the weather has apparently decided that humans were not meant to venture outdoors.

The flowers are still growing—somewhere beneath the weeds—but August has firmly reminded us that we are, in fact, two teachers with a flower farm and not two flower farmers with leisurely teaching hobbies.

We’re taking a little seasonal breather, regrouping, and looking forward to prettier—and hopefully cooler—days ahead!

The cart is back out after a week of rainy afternoons!

Today’s bouquets feature some gorgeous sunflowers, and I’ve also stocked the cart with Thai chilis, serrano peppers, shish*to peppers, a few fresh tomatoes, and our new magnetic houseplant propagation vases!

I’m also experimenting with some garden-fresh herb salts—coming soon if they turn out as delicious as I’m hoping!

Placed some extra tomatoes and peppers out on the cart with bouquets today. Various cherry tomatoes, shish*to peppers, and medium sized slicers. All home grown- no parasites on these veggies! I'll have Brazilian starfish and jalapeno peppers probably in the next 5 or so days as well:)

Post–4th of July always feels like the turning point of summer somehow. Still blooming, just a little more slowly now. Putting out small batches of bouquets at a time to keep them fresh in the heat

The flower cart is out this week — just on a summer survival schedule.
Because of the record heat, we’ll only be putting out a few bouquets at a time so the flowers stay as fresh and happy as possible instead of baking in the sun all day.
Cart hours this week: 8–11 AM 4–8 PM
We’ll restock throughout the cooler parts of the day as bouquets sell. Thank you for supporting our tiny flower stand and helping us work with the Georgia heat instead of against it.

Come see me at my last market of the season at the Lilburn Farmers market! After today, you'll only be able to snag bouquets at the cart💐 This is a unicorn week- I have lisianthus, sunflowers, and dahlias in these arrangements!
