Just coming in to say hello and give a little update today. January sucked. I really can’t find a way to sugar coat it. It was a month of bitter cold and illness for both the family and the animals. We had a nasty respiratory infection run through the sheep flock, which does happen but with the temps it was just relentless. We lost Fern on Monday and I’m still pretty devastated and a little in shock. I’m so glad she’s not suffering and even gladder to have known her but this is the type of thing that makes you pause and really question the lifestyle, even if just for a moment. The rest of the sheep are doing well now and on good footing going into lambing season, and for that I’m truly grateful, also grateful for gaining valuable husbandry skills that will serve us well in future seasons. We’re halfway into February now, the days are getting noticeably longer, warmer days are just ahead so we catch our breath now and move forward remembering the good and taking lessons from the difficult. Think spring thoughts! I hope you all have a beautiful Sunday.

Good Morning from the homestead. This is the calm before the cold and wind set in. Lots to do today to make sure all the animals are prepared for the next few nights (and the humans too!). Stay warm everyone!

Good Morning from the frozen north! It has its perks. We had our coffee with the sheep and a lovely glow on the horizon.

We are really happy to welcome this young man to the homestead. Great genetics, and he’s a complete gentleman (so far lol). Can’t wait to see the lambs he throws! He needs a name!

Good Morning Friends, I hope December has found you all well!

I just wanted to let everyone know that the last day to shop our website will be ‼️Friday December 5th‼️ as I’m headed out of state to be with family after a loss.

Our bars will still be available locally at Maple Lane Farms and Handcrafted Lincoln!

I hope to be back around the 15th for last minute gift bags etc, but I’m not sure I can guarantee your items will arrive in time for Christmas if I ship them after that date.
