Did you know that over 27% of our sales come from a local farmer, wellness business, or food producer? In fact, just in the month of September alone, we purchased $38,245 from 32 farmers and food producers -- a big round of applause to our farmers and customers that make this possible!

We had a blast feeding the 330+ NICA athletes sweet, juicy LOCAL watermelon at the Branched Oak Braaaappp today at Branched Oak Lake. These kids came from all over eastern Nebraska (and even Iowa) and really showed up to compete. Congratulations to all who raced today! - This year's election will take place online or in-store
- Voting starts TODAY, Friday, October 9th, and ends Saturday, October 31st 11:59 pm
- Owners may vote for TWO candidates and FIVE Seed nominees
- Owners in-good-standing are eligible to vote
- Only one vote per owner number

We are pleased to announced our very own Raven King as our featured artist for the month of October! This is what Raven has to say about her methods and inspiration:

"I like to create art in many ways; painting and drawing are one of my mediums of choice. My style is a mix of realism, with my own fictional narratives thrown in. I find inspiration within my everyday environments and my own emotions. I really enjoy creating things that make the most sense in my own head, while being fun to look at by others around me. Please enjoy the creations I have available for you, and I appreciate your time while viewing them."

Raven's artwork is for sale through Venmo. She is also open to receiving commission work by contacting her through e-mail. Come and check it out!

It's a beautiful fall day to get our and support our local farmers! Our produce department continues to be abundant with local food, grown right here, by your neighbors and people you know. Our staff is working hard to get the shelves stocked with these delicious gifts.

ICYMI: We want to welcome our newest local vendor, , who delivered beautiful jack-o-lantern pumpkins, decorative gourds, pie pumpkins, and late season watermelons to us last week. If you haven't tried this watermelon -- you must. It's so juicy and delicious!

It's October and we are having a full circle moment. Not only are we rounding up for our Cooperative Community Fund, but we are currently accepting applications for our 2026 grant cycle.

Just like last year, we are giving away three $500 grants to local non-profits that align with our donation policy. Priority is given to grant requests from non-profits for educational projects, development projects, and events that match Open Harvest's mission and values.
