This morning we said good bye to our mascot Boss Hogg. He was out of Jake’s first ever litter. We were breeding for castors and he popped out. He taught Jake so much. He was the showmanship bunny for several years. He went to farm festivals. Countless kids have pet him through the years. Jake used him in test breedings and learned a lot about genetics. He survived dogs, natural disasters, and more. In the end, old age is what took him. RIP Boss. You will be missed 2017-2025. 🐰🐰🐰

The weekend was a whirlwind! Our club, the Northwest Arkansas Rabbit Club hosted our spring show. It was our biggest show to date. We had so much fun with our rabbit show family! We worked hard and celebrated each other’s success!
Jake had BOB mini Rex in shows B, C, and the specialty and BOSB in show A with CR Gretchen Weiners! She went on to win a BIS and RIS. Thank you Emili at Cedar River Rabbitry for helping Jake with his mini rex herd!
Jake also showed his New Zealand doe WF Ariel. She was BOB in shows B and the specialty and BOSB in show C. She also received an honorable mention on the BIS table.
Congratulations to Katie and Anna at High Flying Hops. They had a very successful show too. Thank you to TLM Rabbitry for the fantastic NZ specialty prizes and for helping us pack up coops. And a BIG thank you to Matt Fryar and Cori Fryar. Without them, this show would not be possible. We are so happy to be a part of it all with you! Here is looking forward to to fall! ✌️❤️🐰

It was a looooong day in Stillwater. We got there a little before 7:30 AM and didn’t leave until 8:30 PM. In the end, Jake and Cedar River Rabbitry’s Gretchen Wieners took BIS for show C!
Jake only took 8 rabbits. Here are a few highlights:

Also, I was left alone at the raffle table… sooo… Meet Plute’s Cannoli!!!! She is a frosted pearl Satin Angora junior doe. Thank you Lindsey Fraser for the comb and crash course in wool. You have been our bunny guru for a long time. I have no idea what I am doing but I think she is lovely!!!
We had a great day hanging out with our rabbit friends! High Flying Hops We love you! Congratulations to Chase Bun Hub Rabbitry on his BIS win with his REW Rex. Annalee Haley we adopted Molly. Congratulations to Molly for her RIS with her English Lop. A big thank you to Emili at Cedar River for trusting Jake with another great doe. She has helped him improve his stock and come up with breeding plans.
