Munroe-Hazel Farms Family-Owned Farm Located In The Rolling Hills Of North-Central Alabama Our family farm has a very long history - from the time President William H.

Harrison signed the deed in 1841 until the present day. Our cow-calf operation is one that has been in operation since our dad bought his first few head of registered black angus in 1963. We now have an angus-mix herd, along with second generation Treasure Forest designation - this time with indigenous Longleaf Southern Pine seedlings in their second year. Our farm has been in the Hutto side of my

dad's family as far back as anyone can remember. In fact, dad's Uncle Joe Hutto worked this land and one summer there was a revival. Uncle Joe asked/begged to go but the farm & work associated with it beckoned. So, Uncle Joe knelt down on his knees in these pastures to unite his soul with Our Lord's. The next 12 months are going to be both transitional & exciting!! Plans are in the works for an exclusive hunting club, restocking the five ponds with catfish fingerlings as well as the usual work of fence repairs, hay production, new calves being born, working our cattle twice a year, keeping up with Bullie's replacement - GIPPER [our registered black angus bull] and making sure he doesn't do what any 2,000 lb male does - get to the ladies in the neighbor's pasture. We are blessed. Yes, there are challenges but there are also amazing rewards. Come join us & keep up with the fun. :~)

I was amazed this morning to wake up & see so many of our herd up in the front pasture. Blue Eye Creek is beyond flooded due to the huge storms that passed through here Sunday night & Monday a.m.

Their determination to get to the grass on the other side qualifies them now for Olympic Bronze Medal status; they did make sure to leave the babies safely on the other side. :-)
