Kinda chic to go from formulating pesticides for some of the biggest names in agriculture…

to starting your own regenerative, NO-SPRAY farm. 🌱

Kinda chic to trade the lab for the land.

Kinda chic to become the farmer.

This is definitely the best part ❤️‍🔥

To be completely honest… our carrot harvests this summer have been a bit of a bummer.

They just haven’t been as successful as our fall carrots were.

My husband and I rarely get to harvest together between raising our two-year-old and running another business, so when we finally did, he encouraged me to post about it. I laughed and said, “You mean farming isn’t always rainbows and butterflies?” 😆

The truth is, it isn’t.

Not every crop is picture-perfect. Not every season goes the way we planned. But even when something doesn’t turn out the way we hoped, I still try to find the beauty in it.

Even when the carrots looked a little underwhelming, they were still incredibly flavorful and packed with nutrients. Beauty doesn’t always tell the whole story.

And maybe even more importantly, they’re doing incredible work beneath the surface. Their roots are helping break up and improve our soil, setting the next crop up for even greater success.

I think life is a lot like that.

Sometimes the day-to-day feels disappointing. Progress seems slow. But when we look back, we realize those seasons were shaping us all along. We see how much we’ve grown, how much stronger we’ve become, and how every challenge was preparing us for what came next.

The good news? We’ve finally hit our stride again. 🥕 The carrots are looking beautiful, and we can’t wait to share a big, fresh harvest with our community at the farmers market this Saturday. We are so excited for y’all to see what’s coming out of the field!

And of course… I couldn’t resist saving the spunkiest carrots. Y’all already know we always find some funky ones.

😂🥕 Scroll for a good time.

The version of me that prayed for this life would be so proud of the version of me that’s tired today.

Most days we’re exhausted, but then I remember… this is the work I once begged God for, because being tired from building the life you dreamed of is a privilege. 🤍

Some places hold memories that quietly shape your life…

Mount Holly is one of those places for us.

Long before Mo’s Family Farm existed, Adrian and I went on our very first date here. We parked in a little parking lot that we can literally see from our spot at the farmers market every Saturday. We never could have imagined that years later we’d be standing just across the street, sharing food we grew for a community that helped shape our story.

Mount Holly is also where I spent most of my corporate career. I worked there for years as an agricultural chemist, never imagining that one day I’d trade lab coats and boardrooms for muddy boots, seed trays, and harvest baskets. Looking back now, it’s incredible to see how each season of life was preparing us for the next.

It’s one of those moments that reminds you that very little in life is wasted. The experiences, the relationships, the lessons—even when you can’t see where they’re leading—often become part of a much bigger story.

Today, we’re blessed to be raising our family, growing food we truly believe in, and serving our community through Mo’s Family Farm. Standing at the Mount Holly Farmers Market each week feels like a full-circle reminder that sometimes the path you never planned becomes the one you were meant to walk.

We’re so thankful for everyone who stops by our stand, supports our farm, and allows us to be a small part of your family’s table. Your encouragement means more than you know.

Life has a beautiful way of bringing you back to where it all began—only this time, with a deeper purpose and a grateful heart. ❤️‍🔥

If you ordered onions or plan to pick some up at the Mount Holly Farmers Market this weekend… you’re in for a REAL TREAT! 🧅✨

We just harvested our very first onion planting, and the crop turned out absolutely stunning!

These aren’t the cured onions we’re all used to buying at the grocery store. They’re freshly harvested, making them incredibly JUICY, CRISP, and naturally SWEET. The flavor is milder, brighter, and honestly hard to compare until you’ve tried one. 🤌🏻

We’ll have both red and white onions available, and we can’t wait for you to taste the difference that truly fresh, locally grown onions make! 🤍
