There is something very soothing and calming about spending a rainy morning in the greenhouse pruning tomatoes. Having a hot cup of coffee with me is nice too.

So far, 70 tomato plants trellised, 400 to go for this greenhouse.

I know everyone gets excited when the fresh strawberries signs are out, but it is still early in the season. We are picking 10 to 12 pints a day and hoping we start to get more! We do have assorted lettuce, swiss chard, spinach, radishes and salad turnips fresh picked and stocked up in the store. Also as usual eggs, pork (bacon is back from smoking), lamb and maple syrup.

The nex-gen of egg makers have moved out of the brooder into bigger accommodations. These girls were born on March 6 and will start to lay eggs in early August. Hoping for warmer weather so they can move out to pasture.
