Hi friends!
I’ve gained several new followers lately, so I wanted to take a moment to share a little about the heart behind Grammy’s Happy Oven and what started this journey.
For those who don’t know me, I’ve spent 25 +years as a teacher, with a special passion for helping children who struggle with reading and dyslexia. Teaching has always been more than a job to me. It’s a calling, and I’ve always believed that God gives each of us gifts we can use to serve others.
Then came Grammy’s Happy Oven! What started as a love for baking has grown into something so much bigger than cookies, cakes, and muffins. It has become another way for me to share love, build relationships, and, most importantly, serve God.
❤️ But there’s a bigger purpose behind the baking!
The Lord led me to Africa, where I had the life changing opportunity to serve alongside Jabulani Africa Ministries. There, I was able to use my background in education to encourage and support teachers and serve children in their community.
HOWEVER, we don’t have to be missionaries living/traveling overseas to make a difference. We can serve God right where we are, using whatever He has placed in our hands.
A portion of every purchase from Grammy’s Happy Oven will continue to support missions and the work God has placed on my heart.
My prayer is that Grammy’s Happy Oven will always be about more than baking. I want it to be about faith, generosity, and serving others.
