This is what it looks like when a customer gives you a rough sketch of something they’ve dreamed about for several years. We took this project on knowing it would be a learning experience that we needed. Also that I wouldn’t sleep at night until it was flawless. Theres two things we love. A real challenge, and looking back at something we built years later and being proud to say we did that. This set of pens fit the bill! Can’t say how happy I am of how it’s coming together. As of today there are 87 sticks of 2&7/8 drill stem 4 foot in the ground and they are all perfect. The pen measures 102’x96’ and is as square as any sky scraper. Still have a chute, bud box and truck dock to design and layout. Heavy prefabricated iron gates that we will equip with spring loaded slam latches will latch in two different directions in the alley’s. Twenty gates hinged to 10 foot high bows to tie it all together up top. Hoping to have completed pics of this jewel in a few days. If you find yourself on hwy 61 just south of Greensboro you don’t even have to be looking, they are hard to miss!

What to do if your gate needs to hinge 90 degrees from direction of your brace, install a dead man brace. Two 4” x 8’ post driven below surface with a cut off “dead man” buried between. this set will keep your king post standing true under the weight of heavier duty gates.

1.5 miles with 31 12’ braces due to corners, gates and extreme changes of elevation. All gates customized with a 2x4 mesh panel welded to them.
