🌬️🎃 Heads up, pumpkin! 🎃🌬️
It’s been a strange year for pumpkins, first lots of rain when growing, then the hot temps in September and October, causing them to rot quickly. Now, we’re bracing for some frost/freezing weather over the next couple of days. So, we’ll be pulling pumpkins off the stand on Tuesday night to protect them from the cold. They will return when temps rise above freezing. Until then we will have a select few during the day.

If you have any pumpkins or mums outside, be sure to bring them inside Tuesday/Wednesday to keep them safe from the frost. ❄️

We’ve got about 100 pumpkins left, perfect for carving before Halloween! 🖤🎃 If you’re still in the pumpkin mood, grab them before they’re gone.

Stay warm, and keep those pumpkins safe…

🎃 Pumpkins with a Purpose! 🎃
The boys will be donating 100% of the proceeds from their pumpkin stand at the Twin Vines Fall Festival event today 11am-3pm. These funds will support the playground shade structure fundraiser at the Panorama Elementary school.
They’ve been raising money through online sales, and now they’re using their pumpkins to help support this Panorama PTO fundraiser.

Proud to see them saving, spending, and giving back in a big way!

🎃✨ The boys have been hard at work, giving every pumpkin a good wash before they hit the stand! The pink pumpkins are ready and made it to the stand tonight! 💕

🎉🏈 Congratulations to PHS football team on their win last night! They played hard as a team all the way to the final seconds—what an awesome game! 👏

Now it’s on to today’s big showdown: Iowa vs. Iowa State. We’re a house divided… so who’s taking the W? 🤔

No matter what, it’s sure to be a great game day! ❤️💛 🏈 🖤💛

We’ve been hearing from our family & friends “back home” — and your wish is being granted!

Like last year a pumpkin trailer is in Westside, IA for a short stay.

📅 Arrives: September 5
📅 Leaves: September 15

The boys filled a trailer as best they could — but selection will be limited on colors & sizes.

🍂 The Panora trailer will still be in town as usual.

🎃🍂 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆! 🍂🎃

The trailer stand is now set up in 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 and ready for you! The boys will be stocking it as much as they can, when pumpkins are ready (some varieties are behind and low numbers).

👉 𝒫𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒 𝓃𝑜𝓉𝑒: pumpkins are 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 this season. We estimate about one-third of what we normally have. To share with you how low numbers are, we have set out about half of our mini pumpkins and gourds (in the buckets).

We are so grateful for your continued support and understanding 🧡. We’ll keep you updated as supplies go down.

Prices are the same as last year. We do have a new size this year- a cannon ball!

Thank you for cheering on our boys and their little pumpkin patch dream — even in a tough year, they understand more what true farmers go through.

One would think with all the rain we’d have a good crop; but it's just the opposite- pumpkins don't want too much water 💧

🎃🌽 Pumpkin Patch Update – July News! 🌽🎃
Hey friends! We know it’s been a little while since our last update, but we’ve got some exciting news to share.
If you’ve driven by recently and noticed corn growing where our pumpkin patch usually is… you’re not imagining things!
This year, we rotated our crops – a little something to keep the soil healthy and strong – so the pumpkins are now growing on the east side of the property! 🍂

Our pollinator pals (🐝 the bees!) are out in full force, which is always a good sign.
The patch might be running a bit behind schedule due to some nutrient adjustments, but we’re hopeful for a solid harvest.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐲
Halloween may be over, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to end! If you’ve got a stash of extra candy, here are some creative and fun ideas to make the most of it. You could also 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 "𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲/𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱" 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱

𝘽𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨: Use leftover candy in your baking. Crush up candy bars for cookies, add them to brownies, or use them to top cupcakes for a festive twist.

𝘿𝙄𝙔 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙮 𝙅𝙖𝙧𝙨: Create decorative jars filled with candy as gifts or fun decorations around the house. You can even use them for different occasions.

𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙮 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙨: Get crafty! Use candy to make fun art projects, such as candy bouquets or holiday decorations.

𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙯𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧: If you want to savor your candy, consider freezing it! Many types of candy freeze well and can be enjoyed later as a special treat.

𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙮 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: Consider donating to local charities, schools, churches that may host events where they can use extra candy for prizes or giveaways.

𝘿𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙎𝙬𝙖𝙥: Check with your dentist! Some offices participate in candy swap programs where you can bring in a bag of candy and receive a toothbrush or other small goodies in return. It’s a fun way to promote dental health!

"𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲/𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱" 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱
𝕊𝕒𝕧𝕖: Encourage them to set aside some candy for later. This helps teach patience and the idea of saving for future enjoyment.

𝔾𝕚𝕧𝕖/𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕖: Discuss the importance of sharing with others. They can choose to donate some candy, share with friends and family, promoting generosity.

𝕊𝕡𝕖𝕟𝕕/𝔼𝕒𝕥: Enjoy, have a snack. Or if they want to use some candy for a fun project or activity, that’s their “spending.”

All of this helps them learn decision-making and the value of enjoying what they have.
