umpkin patch so he could invite his friends to pick pumpkins at his birthday party. They had so much fun picking pumpkins but in the end we were left with many pumpkins! We decided to post on Facebook pumpkins for sale as we were teaching our kiddo how to save money to buy what he didn't get for his birthday (new boots). The pumpkins were gone in a day! Families were telling us how much they appreciated having pumpkins nearby and cheap! When we started this, there wasn't a plan to grow a bigger pumpkin patch (mom wanted a sunflower patch) and the rest of the family wanted more pumpkins! Now we have small pumpkins, large pumpkins, orange pumpkins, blue pumpkins and even warty pumpkins... who knew there were so many different types of pumpkins! We have enjoyed our time growing pumpkins together as a family but more importantly we get to teach our children many life lessons at such a young age, we pray this opportunity will help lead them on a successful path in life. The money raised will be given to our two boys to teach them save, spend and give. As you give and receive with an open hand not a closed fist.
