We’ve been a little quiet on social media, but definitely not quiet on the farm! 🌸

While we’re still harvesting buckets of beautiful late-summer blooms, much of our time is already being spent planning and preparing for next season. Beds are being cleared, amended, and made ready for our hardy annuals so they can settle in and establish strong roots before our first frost.

It always feels a little strange to pull out flowers that are still blooming, but growing beautiful spring flowers means thinking months ahead. The work we’re doing now will become next year’s snapdragons, campanula, delphinium, and so many other spring favorites.

One season may still be blooming, but the next one has already begun behind the scenes. 🌱

We had a pretty special moment this week. 🥹🌸

Linden Blooms Farm was featured by Farmer Bailey as part of their 20th Anniversary Farmer Feature series!

For those outside the flower-growing world, Farmer Bailey is one of the companies we purchase many of our specialty flower plugs from.

Being featured may seem like a small thing, but to us, it means a lot. 💕 As a small farm tucked away on the side of a mountain in Linden, every opportunity to share our name and have what we’re building recognized within the flower-growing community feels pretty darn special.

We’re so grateful for everyone who has supported our little farm and helped us continue to grow.

You can read our Farmer Bailey feature and Q&A here. 🌸

Christine Whitaker relies on Farmer Bailey plug plants to keep her business growing while balancing a full time career in Linden, Virginia.

Okay… I’m officially a gladiolus convert. 💛

I don’t know why it took me so long to fall in love with glads, but this season they have completely won me over.

These buttery yellow gladiolus were the perfect finishing touch for one of this week’s Summer Subscription bouquets.

One of my favorite parts of growing flowers is discovering new combinations throughout the season. Sometimes a flower you weren’t completely sure about ends up being the one that makes the whole bouquet.

🌿 A quick update from the farm! 🌿

Linden Blooms Farm will be taking a short summer break from June 27 through July 4.

💐 Already have an order scheduled?
No worries! All previously placed orders will be delivered or ready for pickup as planned.

🛒 Planning to order?
We won’t be accepting any new orders during this time. We’ll reopen on July 5 and will be excited to create beautiful flowers for you again.

This little break gives us a chance to rest, catch up around the farm, and come back refreshed for the rest of the growing season. 🌸

Thank you for supporting our small flower farm. We appreciate every order, every share, and every kind word more than you know. We can’t wait to show you what’s blooming when we’re back!

I had so much fun creating these garden-inspired florals for a wonderful couple this weekend.

Filled with locally grown blooms, bright summer colors, and all the beauty this season has to offer, these pieces were a joy to design.
