It’s been a few weeks since we closed the gates for the 2025 Blueberry Season, but we could not let the summer end without expressing our gratitude for all of you.
We want to tell you all how much your presence in our field has blessed our hearts. Seeing your faces year after year brings us such joy. We laughed with you, reminisced with you, picked with you, and even cried or prayed with you. You all are more than simply customers to our family. You are the people in our neighborhood, the ones we live alongside of in our community, the ones who have grown up knowing our family through the generations (young and old)…we are grateful for all of you.
For the many new comers to our field this year, we loved seeing new faces and meeting each of you. We hope you had an amazing experience with us and plan to return for years to come. Thank you for stopping in and giving our blueberries a try.
As with each season, we had a few challenges to overcome including training our new pup, Nicholas (thank you for your patience as he was learning how to behave appropriately), combating a broken down mower and w**d growth, and once again experimenting with our blueberry picking machine.
Each year we try and look for ways to become better, to provide better experiences, better berries, better field conditions, better advertising, better parking, etc. Here at Shirey’s Blueberry Hill we want to remember that we are never the smartest one in the room; that our customers may have creative ideas and/or contacts to help us better serve our patrons and get our berries sold. To that end, if any of you have ideas to share concerning these things, we would be happy to read your suggestions in the thread on this post or in our private message box.
Again, thank you all for another wonderful season. God willing, we will see you all next year!
