Let's make this simple. Here's every day of the fair and what you'll pay at the gate.

💵 Saturday 8/22 — Donation Day. Cash donations accepted at the gate.
💵 Sunday 8/23 — $5 per person
💵 Monday 8/24 — $10
💵 Tuesday 8/25 — $10. Free for Seniors 65+, Veterans, and Active Military with valid ID.
💵 Wednesday 8/26 through Saturday 8/29 — $10

Children 6 and under are always free with an adult entry. A weekly pass is $30 — worth it if you're coming three or more days.

Two things to know before you drive out:

⚠️ The gate is cash only. ⚠️ You can buy online, but there's a $3 surcharge and you'll need to show your ticket at the gate.

Gates open at 10 AM. Fair closes at 10 PM. Home Show and Exhibit Buildings run 10 AM to 9 PM.

What gate admission does not include: midway rides (Ride-A-Rama wristbands are sold separately at the Midway ticket booth) and grandstand event tickets. Many events are included — horse pulls, harness racing, garden tractor pulls, the circus — but the concerts, rodeo, derby, and truck & tractor pulls are ticketed separately.

The storms and tornadoes brought down a few bee trees. Just doing our part helping emergency crews and homeowners. A week ago we cleaned up on High Street in Conneaut Lake. This week another tree in Conneautville after many days of clearing roads. In both cases, my preferred method is to split the nest section horizontally, transfer some of their comb into the hive box and leave the box as the only place to go. We go back and pick the box up later.

A fellow beekeeper I've known for many years. This is hilarious!

Follow up to the electric pole that came down in a wind storm last month. With better temperatures and blooming everywhere, it was a good day to transfer to a managed hive. Split with a chainsaw. Surgically transplanted combs of brood to frames. Queen is in. Easy temperament. With comb removed from the pole, the bees walked and flew to their new home.
