AUGUST BEEF BOXES ARE A LITTLE DIFFERENT!

Y’all officially sold us out of ground beef, so for August we’re doing something we almost never do…limited edition, cuts-only boxes!

We put together a handful of boxes featuring our favorite steaks, roasts, and easy weeknight cuts, with options for everything from back-to-school dinners to late summer grilling. And to top it off, there is one extra special limited edition box that features some specialty cuts you don’t always see in our monthly boxes.

These boxes are limited and available only while supplied last. One they’re gone, that’s it for this round.

But don’t worry, our ground beef will be back next month with a fresh round of beef & new cuts!

Message us or comment below for pickup; Auburn delivery will be Saturday the 22nd, Oxford will be at the Main Olive upon request, and as always-you can message any time to arrange Lineville pickup!

Thank you guys so much for always keeping us busy & for loving our ground beef as much as we do!

Farm Fact Friday from the Port of Mobile!

Did you know the Port of Mobile connects farmers and agricultural businesses to more than 150 countries through international trade?

It’s pretty amazing to think about agriculture on a global scale. Something grown right here on an Alabama farm can be loaded onto a ship at the Port of Mobile and eventually make its way to someone thousands of miles away.

We’re proud to be a small part of an industry that literally connects Alabama farms to the world.

Charlie thought the Port of Mobile was the perfect place to share this week’s fact!

Farm Fact Friday from the Port of Mobile!

Did you know Alabama has exported more than 2.5BILLION pounds of grain and oilseeds each year?

Crops like soybeans, corn and wheat can make their way from farms across Alabama and the Southeast to the Port of Mobile, where they’re loaded onto ships and sent to customers around the world.

That’s one of the coolest things about agriculture—something grown in the dirt right here at home can end up feeding people thousands of miles away.

Charlie thought the Port of Mobile was the perfect place to share this week’s Farm Fact Friday!

Did you know our bulls are SimAngus?

A registered SimAngus animal has to be at least ¼ Simmental and ¼ Angus or Red Angus, with at least ¾ of their genetics coming from those two breeds.

So what does that mean? It means our bulls are a carefully bred combination of two great beef breeds — bringing together the strengths of both Simmental and Angus genetics.

There’s a lot more that goes into raising cattle than most people realize, and we love getting to share the “why” behind what we do.

They don’t call them the days of summer for nothin’!

Around here, even Tuck has found the best seat on the farm and he’s keeping it cool by napping on the Gator.

It’s been one hot Alabama summer, and we’re all looking forward to a little cooler weather. Until then, we’ll all keep hunting for ways to beat the heat!

These are almost as big as Charlie’s head!

No, these aren’t headed to our dinner table—they’re hard at work.

Charlie’s got his hands on a daikon radish and a turnip, both from our Ray’s Crazy Mix cover crop.

We planted this mix to help reclaim some land that had been overgrazed and wasn’t very productive. The deep roots of the radishes and turnips help break up compacted soil, while the mix of grasses, legumes, and brassicas adds organic matter back into the ground, improves soil health, and helps us build healthier pastures for the future.

Caring for the land is one of the most important parts of farming. Healthy soil doesn’t happen overnight, but every season is another opportunity to leave it better than we found it.

Charlie thought these giants were pretty impressive…and so did we!

Did you know July is National Ice Cream Month?

Here’s a fun agriculture fact: the United States produces more than 1.5 billion gallons of ice cream each year! 🤯🍨

That delicious scoop of ice cream starts with farmers. Milk from dairy cows is a key ingredient in many ice cream recipes, and farmers work hard every day to help provide the food we enjoy.

The next time you enjoy a cold treat on a hot summer day, remember the many farmers who help make it possible!

Thanks for following along with Charlie’s Farm Facts! ❤️
