University of Missouri Cornett Farm The University of Missouri Cornett Farm, established in 1965, researches the development and evaluation of forage/beef systems for all classes of beef cattle.

The primary research objective for FSRC is the development and evaluation of forage systems for all classes of beef cattle. Researchers conduct grazing studies with cow-calf pairs, weanlings and yearling steers and heifers. Identifying the interactions of cattle, plants and soil is key to understanding cause/effect relationships in forage/beef systems. Reproductive efficiency, milk production and

liveweight gains are indicators of animal performance, while forage establishment, productivity patterns and use and persistence are of agronomic interest. FSRC’s international reputation as one of the outstanding forage-livestock system research centers attracts visitors from around the globe each year.

We're looking forward to welcoming everyone to the University of Missouri Northern Missouri Research, Extension & Education Center's Annual Field Day tomorrow!

Before you head our way, here are a few things to know:

🚜 Rain or shine, Field Day will go on! If weather requires, presentations will be moved into the barn so everyone can stay dry while enjoying the program.

🚜 Hop on any wagon! No matter which wagon you board, you'll visit every tour stop, so you won't miss a single presentation.

🅿️ Parking is available in the grass parking area and will be clearly marked with signs.

⛺ Registration will be on-site under the registration tent when you arrive.

👟 Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.

☕ Breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m.
🚜 Tours begin at 8:00 a.m.
🍽 Lunch and university updates begin at 11:30 a.m.
