Happy Father’s Day to the most shared father in the world — a man whose love has never known boundaries, limits, or conditions.

He didn’t just raise five daughters with strength, tenderness, and unwavering devotion. He also helped shape seven grandsons, giving each of them a foundation built on courage, humor, and heart. And beyond family, he has poured nearly 50 years of fatherly love into the Nokotas — guiding them, protecting them, and giving them a home when they had nowhere else to go.

He has always opened his arms to the wandering, the lost, the ones who needed a place to land. He has been a father figure to people who never had one, offering wisdom, direction, and a steady voice on the other end of the phone whenever someone needed help. His love is not selective — it is expansive, generous, and deeply rooted in who he is.

There is no limit to the way he gives.
There is no measure for the lives he has touched.
There is no comparison to the honesty, loyalty, and quiet strength he carries.

🪶🐴🪶The herd carries you with them now.— A Nokota Warrior Gone Too Soon

We lost a Nokota warrior this week, and the land feels quieter because of it. Jennifer wasn’t just someone who worked with the horses — she was one of them. She moved with their rhythm, understood their language, and carried their history in her heart. She knew every horse by name, by spirit, by story. And now, her own spirit runs with them across the hills she loved so fiercely.

Jennifer lived her life with the same qualities the Nokotas are known for:
grit, loyalty, intuition, and a wild, unbreakable heart.

She was a strong character — steady in the way that truly strong people are. The horses were always her first choice, her first thought, her first love. She cherished them with a devotion that can’t be taught. It was simply who she was.

She worked hard, harder than most ever saw. She showed up in the cold, the heat, the wind, the long days, the impossible days. She was a quiet force, a dependable presence, and a huge asset to the Nokotas — not because she wanted recognition, but because she believed in the horses with her whole soul.

And the horses knew it.
They trusted her.

There are people who come into the Nokota story for a moment, and then there are those who become part of its heartbeat. Jennifer was the latter. Her hands, her time, her compassion, her strength — all of it helped carry this breed forward.

Now, as we stand in the space she once filled, we feel the ache of her absence… but also the echo of her spirit. It’s in the wind that moves through the grass. It’s in the soft thunder of hooves. It’s in the quiet moments when a horse lifts its head as if sensing someone familiar.

Anouchka Moscatelli was the visionary of The Nokota Experience, she is a woman who creates beauty the way some people breathe — naturally, effortlessly, and with a devotion that can’t be taught. Every event she touches becomes a love letter written in fine details, intention, and heart. She doesn’t just plan moments… she builds experiences stitched together with care, artistry, and a kind of magic that is uniquely hers.

Her vision is breathtaking.
Her ex*****on is unmatched.
Her passion burns brighter — and yes, even redder — than her fiery hair.

But what moves me most is not just her talent. It’s her heart.

Anouchka loves deeply. She gives freely. She sees the good in people and the beauty in the world, even when life makes that hard. She is an incredible wife, a devoted mom, and a woman who pours her whole soul into her family.

Some people step into your life so quietly, so humbly, that you don’t realize at first how deeply they will change the story. Paul and Cathy Hendrickson are those people.

They opened their land to the Nokota horses out of nothing but pure love—love for animals, love for history, love for what is right. No agendas. No noise. Just a steady, quiet force in the background, always putting the horses first. That alone tells you everything about their character.

This past week, they opened not just their land, but their home and their hearts. Strangers walked in and left as friends. Conversations that needed to happen finally did. Meetings that mattered were made possible because of them. And the Nokota Experience—something that touched so many lives—simply would not have happened without their generosity, their work, and their unwavering spirit.

Paul and Cathy work hard. They may get tired, but we have never once seen them falter. They give without asking. They show up without being asked. They carry the kind of kindness that doesn’t announce itself—it’s just lived, every day, in every action.

🌾 A Heartfelt Thank‑You to the Buffalo Grande Foundation

Some moments arrive quietly, yet carry the weight of history. This week felt like one of them.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the Buffalo Grande Foundation, whose generosity and vision opened the door for a gathering that may prove transformative. Their mission — to inform, inspire, and bring people worldwide to a deeper appreciation of the sacred relationship between the Buffalo and the Native people of the Grand River and Upper Missouri River, with Native leaders telling their own stories and honoring their ancestors’ narrative — was not just spoken, it was lived in that room.

We stepped into this meeting unaware of the magnitude of what they were helping to facilitate. They claim no credit. What they do hold is hope — hope that Frank K***z’s long‑standing dream of returning the Nokota horse to their Native people can move from vision to reality through continued dialogue and shared stewardship for the permanent preservation of this irreplaceable breed.

As Frank and the Tribal leaders spoke, exploring possibilities with honesty and respect, the world watched through the Nokota Experience. And in that shared space, something rare happened — something that felt like a bridge being built between past and future.

It’s possible we all witnessed the beginning of a chapter that generations will look back on with gratitude.

🌿 A Meeting That Could Shape the Future of the Nokotas 🐎

There are moments in this work that feel less like meetings and more like destiny unfolding. This week, we had one of those moments.

We had the honor of sitting with three extraordinary leaders — Stacey LeCompte, Executive Director of the ND Native Tourism Alliance; Mike Faith, Vice Chairman of the Tribal Council of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe; and Courtney Yellowfat, Grammy‑nominated artist and Lakota educator.
What began as a conversation quickly became something far deeper.

We were captivated — not just by ideas, but by the history, the stories, and the ancestral memory they carry. Listening to them speak about their people, their land, and their living traditions felt like being invited into a circle of truth and responsibility.

It was a pivotal moment for the Nokotas — one that opens the door to future meetings, shared purpose, and a path forward rooted in respect, unity, and cultural restoration.

The Nokotas have always been more than horses. They are history in motion. They are survival. They are the living spirit of the Northern Plains. And now, with these powerful voices joining the conversation, the future feels brighter, stronger, and aligned with the people whose ancestors once rode alongside them.

This is only the beginning — and we are deeply grateful.
