North Mountain Homestead Pumpkin Patch

North Mountain Homestead Pumpkin Patch Welcome to our pumpkin patch!! We are OPEN to the public on the weekends in September & October. See full description for dates and hours. Welcome!!! Psalms 107:1

Thank you for supporting our family farm! And Thank You for visiting our page! North Mountain Homestead was "established" in 2015. However, the history of the farm is well over 60 years old, as this is where it all began. What started as a peach orchard when our grandfather purchased the land many years ago, became a Black Angus cattle farm, and now a pumpkin farm under our ownership. There have b

een many forms of crops and animals over the lifetime of this farm, but one thing remains constant- we are family owned and operated! Currently, cattle still graze the land, goats keep growing in numbers, and our rows of blackberries have spoken for themselves! The pumpkin patch, which began in 2013, started as an idea that has turned into the highlight of our year. It's an honor to be able to serve our community with a FREE agritourism attraction. After all, family and friends is what it's all about. Having a wide selection of varieties of pumpkins and gourds to offer is important to us, and getting the best cost to you is priority. Everything is grown right here on the farm, picked, washed, and sold to you from our own hands. We are OPEN to the public on the weekends in September and October. Fridays & Saturdays 10am-6pm and Sundays 1pm-6pm. Dates, updates, closings, availability of items, etc. will all be posted on our wall. If you have questions, or are interested in wholesale bulk pumpkin prices, please send us a private message. Thank you to everyone for your continued support of our farm! "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever."

We was trying to give our pumpkin patch a boost with some compost when one of the manure spreader's tires suddenly decided to call it quits. Might be time to retire it, considering tires are hard to find and cost more than it did.

face πŸ€”πŸ€πŸ€£ I'm beginning to think he enjoyed the storm today since he decided to stand out in it most of the day.

Spread compost while the sun shined yesterday, setting the stage for healthy soil and preparing the Pumpkin Patch for growth. No better time than before a good blanket of snow.

With Christmas quickly approaching, we're sure you're looking for the perfect gift for many important people in your lives. 🎁

Good news, we've got it! Raw Honey!!! 🍯 This isn't just any honey though, this is pumpkin honey!

Now, we're sure you're wondering, "What does that mean?"
The anwser is- Honey bees 🐝 pollinate the blooms of the pumpkin plants during the growing season. The plants can do it by themselves, but bees speed the process up and help make it much more efficient. More blooms on the pumpkin plant equals more pumpkins during the harvest season. πŸŽƒ The pumpkin field could not be what it is without the help of the honey bees!!

Also, a common question is, "Does it taste like pumpkins?"
The anwser is- No! We only call it pumpkin honey because the bees get most of the pollen needed to make the honey from the pumpkin field. The honey tastes rich and sweet, as all honey does. ☺️

Your next question might be, "Why give this as a gift?"
The answer is- Unlike regular honey, raw honey is not pasteurized or filtered. It is as close to the hive as you can get. It's an excellent source of antioxidants, offering a variety of health benefits.
Just *some* of the benefits of honey include supporting digestive wellness, supporting cellular health, and soothing coughs and sore throats. In addition, consuming *local* honey can do wonderful things for seasonal allergies!
So really, your giving your friends and family a gift that supports good health and wellness!

Next you might want to know, "How do I use it?"
The answer is- Put it in your tea or coffee. Spice up a bowl of yogurt. Add it to a smoothie or shake. Drizzle meats, make marinades, or cover a sweet potato. So many yummy ways to consume it!
Also, did you know you can even use honey on your skin? The options are endless!!

By now your probably wondering, "How do I get it?" and "what's the cost?"
The anwser is- that's easy, just message us to arrange a pick up day and time. πŸ€—
There are 2 sizes available- 8oz jars are $10 and a 16oz jar is only $16.
Both are perfect for stocking stuffers, gift exchanges, or to just put a bow on top and present as is!

Make this the "sweetest" gift you've ever given!! 🎁

PSA- we do not claim that our honey will cure, prevent, or treat any disease. This is just common information about honey in general.
