Important reminder regarding DNA!

On January 1, 2026, all heifers showing at MHBA sanctioned shows must have a DNA profile on file with complete parentage verification (dam and sire verification) with the American Hereford Association.

What You Need To Do:

☑Begin reviewing your herd to make sure sires and dams have DNA on file to ensure parent verification can be completed.

☑When purchasing new animals, always verify their DNA status.

☑Note: All steers and bulls are currently required to have a completed DNA profile with sire and dam verification to be eligible to show at MHBA sanctioned shows.

Don't wait—start the process now to avoid any last-minute issues!
