This post is written by my mom for her bestfriend Christina Merrill ❤️💓
"As many of you know, Christina has endured more heartbreak and hardship over the last several years than most people could ever imagine. It began with the devastating loss of her newborn daughter, followed by the heartbreaking loss of her first-born son. Shortly after, she suffered a heart attack, a stroke, triple bypass surgery, and a heart valve replacement. Since February, Christina has been in and out of the hospital battling multiple complications related to her heart surgeries, and she is now hospitalized again with a very serious blood infection.

Through all of this, Christina has also been raising her beloved granddaughter while being unable to work due to her declining health and ongoing medical challenges.

If you know Christina, then you know she would never ask for help herself. She is one of the strongest, kindest, and most compassionate women I have ever known. She would give anyone the shirt off her back if they needed it. I have been blessed to call Christina my friend for nearly 38 years, and throughout that time she has always been there for others, offering support, love, and encouragement whenever it was needed.

Christina is a proud and independent woman, but right now she truly needs the love and support of her community. We are hoping to raise $1800 to help ease some of the financial burden she is facing while she focuses on healing. These funds will help with rent, utilities, transportation to medical appointments, childcare expenses for her granddaughter, and other essential household bills.

I kindly ask that there be no judgment about someone needing help during such a difficult season of life. Christina has spent her entire life caring for her children, supporting her family, and helping others whenever she could. Now it is our turn to help her.

Any donation, prayer, share, or kind word means more than you know. If you know Christina, we would also love for you to share your favorite memories, stories, or photos of her. We plan to read them to her to help lift her spirits and remind her just how loved she truly is.

This week, Two Moms Diner will also have a donation jar available for anyone who would like to contribute in person. Every dollar, every prayer, and every share makes a difference.

Today we celebrated with our friends from Finish Line Franks 🌭❤️

We see the hard work and dedication that goes into what she does. She is so beautiful, genuine, and kind — honestly, just talking to her makes you want to buy her food 🤣 BUT even better… her hot dogs are the BOMB DIGGITY. They are unlike any other whether you like them fully loaded or plain and simple. She’s your girl!

And one thing I absolutely love is her amazing sidekick — her loving, supportive dad. Wherever you find her, you find him right there cheering her on. It’s such a special thing to see.

Such a fun and delicious spot, and we get to have it right in the center of town. So go try Finish Line Franks, sneak over for a hot dog, then slide on over to The Big Dipper for some ice cream, and finish it off with a walk on the path all right infront of you for a quick family night out (And if you wander off the path a little… that’s where you find the frogs 🐸🤣)

So many fun things happening in this town and I love seeing local businesses and families supporting each other. So so proud.
