Dave and I made a snowman after PM chores. I can’t control the weather, and I’m more than ready for warm days and sunshine. BUT, why waste the best snowman snow of the season?!?!
It can be done snowing until December, any time now, though.
The goats were super impressed. 🤣

Chocolate Chip Cookie the pig has 4 piglets happily resting under the heat lamps while momma pigs out on supper. This little piggy enjoys belly scratches during Baby check!

This guy has chosen the life of the goat. He lives with them, eats when they eat: even when it’s 10PM and all the normal chickens have roosted for the night. I call him Capricorn, or “Cappie.” This lifestyle choice may spare him from the soup pot. He could leave the pasture at any time, the other birds go in and out, but he chooses to stay. He chats to the goats and even roosts on the ground with them. 🤷‍♀️

Farming is hard. Some days are harder.
We haven’t lost any chickens to predators, until last night.
And of course, it couldn’t be one of the multiple heinous b👁️tch hens that peck you while collecting eggs.
No, it was everyone’s favorite hen who laid blue eggs, had a big friendly personality and sweet demeanor. She helped me feed the goats every morning, chatting away in chicken talk waiting for me to give her sunflower seeds.
RIP sweet PomPom. We will miss you.
