Opening Day! This Saturday June 13th… we are back with our normal hours 10-5 Weekends and Wednesdays through October! We can’t wait to see everyone back at the farm and we are so excited to eat some amazing summer snacks from the hard working folks that fill our bellies all season long! Pizzas, breads, dips, soups, pickles and more from our farm kitchen will be stocking the coolers and shelves with her famous treats and will be back again this year to bring the heat as always! The crew has been hard at work through the winter and spring to try and give you all the summer flavors that you expect from us! Come say hi and eat some food! ❤️

Greetings from the Farm,
Our farm has been buzzing with activity! Many crops are being planted in the fields, our early greenhouse tomatoes are starting to ripen and the Providence Hope Street outdoor market is open again at Lippitt Park on Saturdays. We are grateful to have many returning employees which helps glide us into our seasonal routine, while meeting some new folks nice enough to give the farm a hand. There are still a few openings if you, or someone you know might be interested? Our Home Farm Market will open on June 13th for the season. It has overall been a cold dry Spring until very recently. We do need rain, and have already been irrigating. Who can believe that, after all the snow and rain of last winter! Looking forward to local strawberry time coming soon, followed by the progression of all your favorites from the fields. Luckily our fabulous kitchen chefs are returning and have already started prepping some new ideas and proven winners of the past. Enjoy the holiday weekend, we hope to see you in Providence or in a couple weeks at the Farm.

All our Best to All of You,
Liz, Skip, Silas, Ashley and the Crew

Hello! Figured we would jump on the bandwagon and post about employment this coming season! It always feels so early to be thinking about who’s going to work here this summer but the more onions I seed the more I start thinking about who the heck is going to harvest these with me??? We have a good group a folks coming back from last year but we are always looking for some more people to join the team once the season starts really kicking into high gear around May. Season lasts well into the fall up through the Holidays. Pay is based on experience and we are always happy to teach if someone is willing to learn! We usually have positions available for markets, field crew and our farm kitchen! We have a lot of fun but it is hard work in all kinds of weather and everything is heavy so keep that in mind 😉 Feel free to send us a DM if you would like to set up a time to have a chat…

This week marks the end of the Honor Market in LC on Wednesday 12/31. This feels like the right time to call it as we are starting to get into “real” winter now and our supply of greens from the greenhouses will need to be replenished after the busy Holiday season. We are working hard seeding, planting and preparing greenhouses for the spring time slot and we will still have tons of roots and squash for the rest of the winter market season so please come visit us up in Providence one of these Saturdays if you have never been…Lots of amazing friends and vendors and only a 45 minute drive from Little Compton. We can’t thank all of our wonderful customers enough for supporting us the last few months and making the honor market such a success. We will slow down a bit but don’t worry there is still plenty to do this time of year and with the days so cold and short it often feels just as busy as the 16 hour days of July. We will be seeding our first greenhouse tomatoes next week! We hope everyone has a happy start to the new year and hope you all stay warm and safe until we see you again ❤️❤️❤️

And just like that it’s a wrap on harvest season… the crew assembled and grabbed the last random things still growing outside and a big block of the sweetest carrots we have ever grown! We also covered a ton of things we just couldn’t say goodbye to like some broccoli and cauliflower that will make an appearance around the end of the month hopefully. Stuff in the greenhouse is just starting to come in nice and the stress of wondering were the hell we are going to put all of these vegetables is a thing of the past as we now have every cooler and space available filled to the brim with cabbage, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, radishes, beets and so much more! Big thanks to the crew for pushing hard this last week to make it all happen and thanks to everyone who supports us in the “off” season! We are up in Providence every Saturday and our Honor Market in LC is still open daily for now with so many awesome things to fill your kitchen!
