In 2008 the Enviomental Working Group (EWA)` anindependent scientific testing organization` preformed elaborate analyseson various brands of bottle waterand anumberof municipal water supplie`s.Of all the brands tested ten were found to contain thirty eight different chemical concertrations inexcess ofthe wate rindustry voluntary standards`the aerage being eight .Among other things, the results found thattwo major brands (Sam`sChoice@ Acadia) both eceeded the maximum legel amount of carcinogenic compouds under California law.Several were idintified to be no more than tap water from the located in whicch they were bottle.Since test results are not required tobe reported for bottle water;it seem that it`s not good ideal for cusumers to assume thatthey,er receiving a good product. On the other side of the issue bottle water can cost up to 1900 time`sas much as tap water,as well sometimes being considerably less healthy to drink.A point-of-use filter will genrally have acost per gallon off...
