Honoring Our Founder, George R. O’Connor
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our founder, George R. O’Connor.
George built this company on a simple but powerful belief: beer brings people together. That belief shaped everything—from how we show up for our customers, to how we partner with our suppliers, to how we support one another as a team.
He was never one to sit on the sidelines. Whether it was walking stores, building displays alongside our teams, celebrating wins with our customers, or pushing all of us to be better partners, George led from the front. He loved this business, and more importantly, he loved the people in it.
To George, this industry wasn’t just about selling beer—it was about relationships. He believed in earning trust, creating value, and competing the right way. His message was simple and consistent: take care of people, and the business will follow.
We are incredibly grateful to our team, our customers, and our supplier partners who were part of his journey and shared in the relationships he valued so deeply.
His impact on this company and this industry will be lasting. And while he will be deeply missed, his legacy will continue in the way we work, the way we lead, and the way we show up every day.
We will carry it forward.
