This weekend, the gates at Valor & Vine Farm will officially open for the first time at 825 White Hall Rd., Littlestown, PA.

It is a modest beginning, as all worthwhile things tend to be.

Awaiting you at the farm stand:
• Non-GMO, organically raised eggs
• Fresh herbs and garden plants
• A thoughtfully curated collection of used books

We also have several pet rabbits seeking estates of their own.

• Three weaned baby does — $20
• 8-month-old buck — $15
• 4-month-old doe — $15

We have spent many months restoring this old farm, and it has been our prayer from the beginning that it would become a place where neighbors might slow down for a while, take something good home, and leave with a little more peace than they arrived with.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Preparations for opening continue steadily, though not without casualties among the crops. RIP onions and broccoli.

The chickens, however, remain industrious and largely free of scandal.

Eggs and various seedlings will be available this weekend.

What becomes of them once they leave the estate is entirely your affair.

The girls are laying, vegetable seedlings have begun to sprout, and we have started the literal unearthing of garden beds we did not know existed!

Our first spring here is well underway, and it has been equal parts exciting and humbling.

We look forward to sharing more as we continue preparing (hoping and praying) to open this summer.
