The story of Pampaw’s BBQ Products started in the 1920’s in the small west Texas town of San Angelo. My Grandfather (Pampaw) ran a roadside BBQ pit restaurant featuring a family secret BBQ sauce. The cooker was an open pit and the bold flavored sauce was a totally original creation that was loved by all. My father (Pappie) and his sisters spent long hours at the BBQ joint helping to cook and serve
BBQ to the townfolk, migrant farm workers, and cattlemen. One constant at the restaurant was the BBQ sauce. The recipe for this sauce has been passed down through the Nettleton family ever since those early days and is still alive and well in our “Original” sauce. In previous years we used to prepare and give the sauce to friends for Christmas presents. We heard constant comments about how we should bottle and sell it to the public. In 2004 we entered our original sauce into the sauce competition at the Frisco BBQ Challenge in Frisco, CO and won second place! The legend of Pampaw’s BBQ sauce has been growing ever since. It appears BBQ must be in the blood – together with my wife, daughters, family, and friends we have created a competition BBQ team, Birdman BBQ. I have always kept the vision of Pampaw in all of my BBQ workings. We have built upon the one original sauce and are constantly creating new variations and BBQ related products. Today Pampaw’s BBQ Products is proud to offer not only the original sauce, but many additional variations and related BBQ products along with it. Whether you enjoy something on the sweeter side, bold, or spicy we can satisfy all of your BBQ fancies. All of the sauces and products we offer are made with the original intent of good BBQ and bold flavor that was passed down from Pampaw, to Pappie, to me.
