This is what grass-fed beef should look like. Our cattle are grass fed, grass finished, and raised on pasture in North Florida.

No corn. No soy. No grain. Ever. Not even as a supplement.

They are rotationally grazed — because the land gets better because they are on it.

No pesticides or chemicals — because they are poison.

No hormones or antibiotics — because healthy animals on healthy land don’t need them.

Just sunshine, grass, and the way it should be.

The weather around the farm has taken a turn — we’ve gotten a ton of rain the last few days! 🙌

It’s been a little gloomy and soggy for the girls, but we’re hoping this helps us climb out of the extreme drought and gives the grass one last good boost for the end of the season.

Fingers crossed for continued green pastures! 🤞🌱

Meet our newest bull! 🐂 We recently added this handsome guy to the herd, and we’re excited to see what he brings to the farm.

When picking a new bull, we look at several key stats:
• Growth & Weight — how well his calves grow and gain on grass
• Carcass Quality — marbling, tenderness, and overall meat yield
• Maternal Traits — will his daughters make good mothers?
• Temperament — calm, easy-to-handle cattle are a must
• Fertility & Longevity — we want him to work hard for many years

All of this helps us continue raising healthy, high-quality grassfed cattle that perform well on pasture.

New addition to the farm: our first chicken tractor! 🐔

We’re starting small with this tester unit that will roll behind the cows and sheep. The idea is simple but powerful — let the chickens follow the ruminants and do what they do best.

In regenerative systems, chickens help by:

• Scratching and spreading manure
• Eating fly larvae and pests
• Adding nutrient-rich fertilizer back into the soil
• Helping break parasite cycles in the pasture

If this setup works well for us, we’ll look at expanding. For now, the girls are settling in and getting to work. We're excited to see how they impact the land over the next few months.

Winter prep starts long before the weather cools off around here.

These bales of hay will be ready as forage for our cows once the grass dies back.

Planning ahead keeps the herd well-fed through the quieter months.

Did you know cows have best friends?

They can recognize each other, form close bonds, and even have little “beefs” with certain herd mates. These two ladies have been inseparable for a long time. Whether they’re walking over to the water trough or scoping out the best grass in a new pasture, they’re almost always side by side.

We make a point to keep bonded pairs together whenever we can. It helps keep stress low and the herd calmer overall — one of those small things that makes a difference day to day.
