🏈🍁 GAME DAY MAPLE PULLED PORK 🍁🏈
Nothing says game day in New England quite like a big batch of tender, smoky pulled pork — and a little Pure Maine Maple Syrup takes it to the next level!
This easy recipe brings together sweet Maine maple, savory spices, and slow-cooked pork for a crowd-pleasing sandwich everyone will be reaching for.
🍁 Maple Pulled Pork
Ingredients:
* 3–4 lb pork shoulder/butt
* ½ cup Pure Maine Maple Syrup
* ½ cup apple cider
* ¼ cup BBQ sauce
* 2 tbsp brown sugar
* 1 tbsp yellow mustard
* 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
* 2 tsp smoked paprika
* 1½ tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp salt
* ½ tsp black pepper
Directions:
1. Mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Rub generously over the pork.
2. Place the pork in a slow cooker or Dutch oven.
3. Whisk together the Pure Maine Maple Syrup, apple cider, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, mustard and apple cider vinegar.
4. Pour the maple mixture over the pork.
5. Cook on LOW for 8–10 hours, or until the pork is tender enough to pull apart easily.
6. Shred the pork, remove any large pieces of fat, and mix the meat back into the cooking juices.
7. Serve on toasted buns with your favorite coleslaw, pickles, or extra BBQ sauce.
🍁 GAME DAY TIP: For an extra maple kick, drizzle a little more Pure Maine Maple Syrup into your BBQ sauce before serving.
From a Saturday afternoon kickoff to a Sunday football gathering, this is the kind of meal that keeps everyone coming back for another sandwich!
