The Japanese honey bee, Apis cerana japonica, has an amazing defense against hornets. When a hornet comes into the hive the worker bees will ball up on the hornet covering it completely, and then start to vibrate their bodies. This cause a high amount of CO2 to be produced and it raise the temperature around the hornet to 115 degrees F!!! The hornet cannot tolerate these conditions and soon loose its battle.

The scientific name for honeybee; apis mellifera is incorrect. In 1758, Linnaeus, in error, categorized the honeybee as apis mellifera, meaning 'honey-carrying bee', which implied that bees merely carried honey from flowers to comb. In 1761 Linnaeus's brother who was a beekeeper, spotted the mistake and proposed to have the name changed to apis mellifica, meaning 'honey-making bee'. But according to the international rules, the earlier name had to be maintained.

HAY COSAS QUE ES MEJOR NO SABERLAS.

En la NASA, tienen colgado un cartel de unas abejas 🐝🐝 donde se lee lo siguiente:

“Aerodinámicamente el cuerpo de una abeja no está hecho para volar; lo bueno es que la abeja no lo sabe”.

La ley de la física dice que una abeja 🐝 no puede volar, cada principio aerodinámico dice que la amplitud de sus alas es muy pequeña para conservar su enorme cuerpo en vuelo, pero una abeja no lo sabe, ella no conoce nada de la física ni su lógica y vuela de todas formas.

Eso es lo que todos podemos hacer, volar y prevalecer en cada instante ante cualquier dificultad y ante cualquier circunstancia a pesar de lo que digan.

Seamos 🐝 abejas, sin importar el tamaño de nuestras alas, alcemos vuelo y disfrutemos del polen de la vida.
