And just like that, it is deer season again. Sitting in the stand thinking about family, friends, and life in general. Listening to crows call in the distance and all of many song birds wake up and sing as darkness becomes light. Talking to God as you get closer to his creation. Relaxing in a deer stand as your mind unwinds. I wait patiently all year for this day. I work the land, fill feeders, and try my best to provide for the wildlife to give them a better life. I practice with my rifle and bow because when the time comes to take and provide for my family, I want it to be quick and painless. I don't want to uselessly harm these beautiful creatures. Hunters sometimes get a bad name for killing animals, that we are these savages that just like to kill. That can't be farther from the truth. A true hunter, will study and learn everything about an animal that they can and then in return take that knowledge and try to provide for that animal. I hope yall have a great day... I am!

Berries are in full swing right now! Stayed bent over steady picking for about 20 minutes until my back needed a break.

Definitely forgot about daylight savings time change! I was up but was getting a shower and drinking coffee while unbeknownst to me the sun was rising. I made it out here and the fog is setting in now. Although the fog makes it difficult to see through a scope I have always had good luck seeing better deer movement!
