Grabbed a couple brews at 406 Brewing Company during the raffle supporting Manhattan Tiger Football. The beer was phenomenal and the taproom was BUSY!!!!

If you're passing through Manhattan, hop off the freeway and stop in to see Matt and his crew. They've got a diverse lineup of brews and I'm confident you'll find something you like.

I had on opportunity to catch up with Brian Kelley, owner of Kelley Engineered Equipment last night. Drinks at the taproom, the nickel tour of the brewery, and dinner at The Murray Bar, it was nice to reminisce and have some laughs.

Brian was my first boss when I graduated college in 2006; I worked as a Mechanical Engineer under him at Kiewit Underground.

One of the smartest, most innovative people I've ever met. I eventually went to work in the field in order to learn the tunneling industry with the intent of going back to work on the engineering side, but climbed the ladder in operations. By that point, Brian had left the company to start his own, and he has knocked it out of the park. 20 years, 50 employees, and a lot of innovation later, he and his team are well known and respected in the heavy civil industry for everything they do.

As we all know, it was BLAZING HOT, so the fellas definitely dressed for the weather.
