Legacy Sale Consignment Update from Double Dime Longhorns!
Lazy J Sinister. Lot H18. DOB 5/24/20.

She measured 68.125" this week on 3/13/23 and is on pace to be over 70" ttt before her third birthday on May 24th. She is confirmed bred to Hubbells Chief Noonday who is sired by 90" Romans 7 and out of 90" Rioana Van Horne. Please see his updated picture below.

I also included a picture of her first calf, a Jungle Jim heifer that we are retaining as her replacement.

So excited to introduce the newest heifer calf in our herd, XX Black Diamond.

She is BR Jungle Jim x Lazy J Do******ix. Exactly what I was hoping this calf would look like, so pumped. Life is good in Llano.

Our beloved Rebel daughter, SR Sweet Rebellion, recently measured 77 1/8” @ 3. She is currently bred to 95” BR Jungle Jim. The thought of crossing JJ onto Rebel daughters keeps me up at night. Hopefully I will have them on the ground soon and can sleep like a baby.

Just got back to Llano from the most fun sale we've ever been to and found a new addition waiting on us. Jungle Jim has painted up another one this time out of BL Kahula which goes back to the famous Monika line in the anchor position. What a week!

What an incredible weekend at the Hudson Valentine Fort Worth sale! The longhorn industry feels as strong as ever and is full of so many fantastic people. We are thankful and feel blessed to be a part of it.

To Bill and Elizabeth Hudson and Lorinda Valentine, thank you for putting on a tremendous event and for letting me be part of it.

To Mike Willinger, thank for your time and discussions regarding this sale and possible consignments.

RM Texas Mermaid - Hudson Valentine Lot 33

Our best cow is headed to Fort Worth. Texas Mermaid just measured 97.75" ttt. She has been exposed to BR Jungle Jim and has been confirmed pregnant via blood test. I wanted to make sure whoever bought this cow got a heifer out of her, so we are also including a Jungle Jim ivf heifer born 3/24/22 along with her. The heifer is not at side as stated in catalog but will be ready for the buyer at weaning this fall.

BR Jungle Jim currently measures 95" ttt and still has a full 4 months to go before turning 4. He is on track to be one of the youngest bulls ever to hit the elusive 100" ttt mark. Up until this weekend, there have been no JJ heifers offered for sale and no semen sold. His offspring are extremely limited and hard to come by. The buyer of this lot will be on the ground floor with us on Jungle Jim offspring.

TX Mermaid represents the best of the renowned Mermaid line. She is an extremely fertile cow, breeds back quickly, and produces consistently both naturally and via IVF. It is extremely hard to find a cow of this caliber that also has her level of fertility. She is a stunning cow in every aspect.

This is my first time to participate in the Hudson Valentine Stockyards sale, but I have attended several times. I told myself when I consigned I would put in my best longhorn, so here she is.

Hudson Valentine Sale - Lot 5 - 89" ttt Awesome Nova

My lot write up did not make the catalog unfortunately, so I wanted to include more detail for anyone interested in adding an incredible producer to their herd.

We are selling one of the most consistent cows in the industry this weekend, Awesome Nova. Nova just measured 89" ttt this week. She should be joining the 90" club soon. She has a Jungle Jim heifer calf at side. This is the first Jungle Jim heifer calf to sell and is the only heifer of this cross in existence. He measured 95" ttt earlier this week at a little over 3.5 years old. He projects to over 100" ttt and no semen has been sold up to this point.

Nova's first daughter, Poco Nova, measures over 92" ttt. Brian Brett has three more daughters that project to 90" ttt. He also has a bull prospect, BR Dutton, that projects to 90"+. Nova gets in done on both sides. Her consistent production might be due to the fact that she has two of the greatest cows in the industry as grandmothers, BL Rio Catchit and Poco Lady BL.

Nova has also been successfully IVF'd. Very rare to find a cow with a track record like hers that is also able to produce via IVF consistently. I think that could offer great value to someone with an upcoming bull they need help proving out. I am thrilled with the offspring I have out of her and have decided to offer her in this sale due to the confidence I have in her upcoming daughters.

Please check out some of her offspring and come talk to me at the sale with any questions. There are a lot of great animals this weekend, but Nova's production record speaks for itself. In a few more years she will have numerous 90" offspring. Hopefully some of those will be in the new buyer's pasture.

The first Jungle Jim calves are arriving and we are beyond excited. This little heifer was born yesterday out of one of our favorite cows. Good times my friends.
