We had a great time at the Ford County Fair, our first time showing milking does! We came home with 2 fifth places but learned so much! Our goal for this show was to jump in & learn how to improve, and we got an idea of things we need to do differently to help our goats thrive & show their best selves. Have to start somewhere, looking forward to more shows this year!

Our first goat microchips are in! These 2 yearlings had rough tattoos so I used them as my first microchip testers. Easy to do in the web of the tail & now there will be no question who is who! Going to start chipping all our show doelings in addition to tattoos for registration. Now to just edit their registration papers to add the chips and they will be ready for show season!

Saying weā€™ve been busy the last couple weeks is an understatement! Weā€™ve had 9 baby goats born & 12 piglets so far in the past 2 weeks. One more goat to kid & one pig to farrow left to go! Weā€™ll be posting availability in the coming weeks but please message if youā€™re looking. Weā€™ll have an unregistered Nubian buckling, registered & unregistered Nigerian bucklings, unregistered Nigerian doelings & a few moms (kunekunes & goats) that will be available.

Our absolutely wonderful miniature jersey Penelope is looking for a new homestead along with her heifer calf. This is not a cull cow, she is the perfect milk cow. Anyone can milk her anywhere. Halter broke, very friendly. Not a super heavy producer but this is a sound, healthy cow with the right attitude for a family. Heifer calf born in January is 3/4 mini jersey 1/4 highland and is brindling out, will make a neat cow herself! Only reason they are available is we are getting out of cows to focus on show goats.
