Hey friends 👋 It’s been awhile.

If you follow me over at my personal account you know that after we had to stop market operations at the farm to make my space for my health, we sold our livestock + poultry and made a huge life change: we moved to Colorado, just outside Denver.

We’ve been settling in, I’ve been adjusting to a new treatment protocol, and we’ve been LOVING the mountains and the local food community here (but we’re missing YOU something awful).

We’re not sure what we’ll end up doing with the Roan Creek Farms brand/name down the road, so for right now this page is on a long pause.

We do have some plans involving the intersection of food + farming in Colorado that we’re excited to share when the time is right. I’ve been posting over at not just about that, but of course - lots of food as medicine information and content that isn’t specific to any geography. I’d love to have you join me over there ❤️

Happy 4th of July, friends! We are working hard harvesting today to bring a bounty of gorgeous produce to our final market tomorrow 👩‍🌾

It’s been a tearful week here, a tearful day, and we know the tears will be flowing mightily tomorrow. You have made the hardest week bright and we can’t wait to hug you, love you, and pray with you one last time.

You sold us out of nearly all our chicken, but we still have some incredibly delicious pork. We had our brats for lunch and they are SO GOOD. We also have mild ground sausage, bone in pork chops, butt roasts, picnic roasts, and jowl bacon (guanciale). Come see us and get you some! 🐖

On the produce side we’ll have:

Beefsteak Tomatoes
Heirloom Tomatoes (so many varieties from our starts are ready this week, including PINEAPPLE SPLASH 🙌)
Cherry Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Green Beans
Zucchini
Zephyr Squash
Yellow Squash
Eggplant
Green Bell Peppers
Banana Peppers
Jalapenos
Yellow Onions
Red Onions
Red Potatoes
Sweet Corn
Peaches
Blueberries
Blackberries

In addition, we’re bringing non toxic, clean laundry soap, goats milk bar soap, all natural insect repellent, and herbal tonics

PLUS

Chunky Garden Tomato Sauce
Spice Blends
Vanilla Extract + Vanilla Sugar

Some things we meant to put in the store but never did from partner farms:

Heirloom Pepper Vinegar
Spiced Honey Vinegar

Single Source Lemon infused Olive Oil from Greece

Things from partner farms we still have in stock:

Jams from

Teas from

AFTER TOMORROW, some shelf stable pantry items and farmacy goods may still be available in the online store for shipping for another week or so.

Sunday morning we’re heading to Michigan to honor my dad’s final wishes with a Viking funeral on the lake we used to fish in growing up. When we return the following week, we’ll bring the remainder of our goods to our retail partners.

I can’t close this post without thanking you for the love and support you’ve shown since we shared that my cancer has spread ❤️

Friends, my heart is so full and my spirit lifted by your messages, love and support ❤️

I wanted to address the most common question that’s come with that love + support: are we leaving the farm?

No way.

Folks comment repeatedly that our produce is the brightest in color they’ve ever seen. That’s true about the flowers and wildlife here too. The striking brightness of the many birds native to our property took our breath away regularly when we first bought the farm. It still does.

We think that’s because this land is off the grid and always has been.

There are no power lines here. Our neighboring farms don’t have them either.

We have pure, mineral rich water straight from our spring here, as do our neighboring farms.

We don’t use chemicals or pesticides on our land or in our home. Neither do our neighboring farms.

Those three reasons were the chief driver of our decision to purchase this particular land.

I believe interference from power lines, chemicals in water we drink and bathe in, and chemicals in our soil are big contributors to cancer and other degenerative diseases + auto immune conditions.

I believe being free of these things is instrumental in healing.

This land is still our dream. The Lord resides with us here, whether I’m well enough to actively farm it or not - it just might start to look a little more wild as we concentrate on just the areas that contribute to our food self sufficiency, and the herbs and flowers that make farm grown medicine 🌿

We don’t know when or if I’ll be well enough to ever farm this land again - only our Heavenly Father knows that. But I do know that this place is part of how I will get better, whatever that looks like.

Well, we’re here. It’s our last week, family.

If you’ve read our last couple of posts you know that a few weeks ago we got the devastating news that my cancer has spread. We made the gut wrenching decision to shut down operations at the farm to focus fully on my health, and have been going through a very painful process of finding new farms for our poultry and livestock, our hearts breaking each time we’ve watched them leave.

We are blown away by how many of you came to see me at the market Saturday, and deeply touched by how many people we didn’t know came to join when you prayed over me. You brought the spirit of the Lord with you and I feel your love and His love.

This is the last week for Saturday home delivery or Saturday pickup.

We’re prayerful that we will sell through our entire meat inventory in this week, but if we don’t, sometime down the road we may do a mid week pop up delivery to sell through the remainder.

This is the last week for produce.

Shelf stable pantry items and farmacy goods will remain available after this week at our retail partners only, until our remaining inventory is sold through.

Friends, we know many of you are out of town this week and we won’t get to say goodbye in person. Please know how much we love and appreciate you, and that our daily prayers for the health + happiness of you and your families won’t stop ❤️

If you ARE in town, we’d love to see you either at your door or Saturday morning.

Head to the online farmstore and sn**ch up pastured chicken, woodland pork, produce, and so much more while you still can.

You’re the best and it’s been such an honor to raise these animals and grow these herbs, fruits, flowers, and vegetables for you 🥰

We’re set up at in Franklin and can’t wait to see you, friends. If you saw our post yesterday, you know this is our second to last market and we’re so grateful for these opportunities to say goodbye, hug and pray with you, and tell you how much we love and appreciate you in person.

Thank you for the overwhelming support you’ve shown through texts, calls, messages, and social media, y’all. In a week where I’ve already cried endless tears, you’ve made my heart well to know that you love me back and my eyes are constantly “leaking” as I read your sweet messages, prayers, and shared stories from this terrible disease.

We’ll be at 406 N Church St until noon, family, with woodland pork, pastured poultry, grass fed ground beef, 6 different varieties of tomatoes, sweet corn, zucchini, yellow squash, zephyr squash, onions, red potatoes, green beans, banana peppers, peaches, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, spice blends, and all natural insect repellent 👩‍🌾

Friends, we’ve been sitting with some news the last few weeks that has taken a lot of prayer and time to process. If you follow my personal account you already know this, but after routine scans and tests we learned that my cancer has spread.

We have gnashed teeth and pleaded with the Lord over this decision, but we hear Him loud and clear that my health must take priority, sooner than later.

Over the last week we have painfully sold most of our livestock and all of our beloved Bresse flock.

We will stop our Saturday delivery + farmers market after next weekend. If we have not sold through all of our meat by then, we will have one or two midweek pop up deliveries.

We still have a couple months worth of shelf stable products and farmacy goods that we’ll continue to sell at our wonderful retail partners .wind.coffee.bar and until they’re sold out, and have soaps curing and tinctures brewing that will be ready during that time.

That’s the heartbreaking news.

The good news is that we still have two more Saturdays to see the community we love so much, starting with tomorrow. If you have a delivery scheduled, Farmer Craig will see you late morning. If you don’t have a delivery scheduled, COME SEE ME at in Franklin (406 N Church St) from 9AM-NOON.

Because life is funny like that, we just picked up our first woodland raised pork from the processor today. I won’t have time to get them into the online store tonight, but I will have Italian Sausage Bratwurst, Bone In Pork Chops, BACON, and ground sausage at the market with me tomorrow.

We will also have pastured chicken, grass fed ground beef, pastured eggs, zucchini, yellow squash, onions, potatoes, peaches, peppers, our red tomatoes and the first small harvests of our heirloom tomato varieties, BLACKBERRIES, BLUEBERRIES, and CORN. We have an extremely limited supply of the last three, so come early. They are so sweet and SO GOOD.

We’re really grateful for the opportunity you’ve given us to help you eat your medicine, and love on you in the way that fuels our heart ❤️

We have a little grove of Jerusalem Artichokes that I totally slept on last year because I thought they were wild sunflowers - which they are - but that’s just another name for them 😆

They won’t be ready to harvest until late fall, but I’m already counting down the days. Their tubers are an excellent replacement for potatoes, and are full of inulin, a prebiotic that helps maintain gut health (which helps maintain a strong immune system). They are also low glycemic, which means they won’t overload your body with simple carbohydrates that turn into sugar and inflammation 🌼

This is the busiest time of year at the farm - we are harvesting, pruning, removing spring crops and replacing them with fall crops, tending to fruit trees + berry bushes, and observing constantly what they need and don’t need.

I love moments that make me pause in gratitude, like these did when I passed them on my way to giving our chickens a cold cucumber treat. Those are the moments when I pause not just in gratitude, but in prayer.

We pray so much over what grows and lives here.

For our produce and herbs, we pray that they get everything they need to have the highest nutrient content and seek discernment from the Lord in knowing what that is. We pray that their medicinal compounds will bring health and healing to you and your family. We pray for moments of connection and joy we hope will come when you prepare them for yourself and the people you love. We pray you will feel the peace and love of our Heavenly Father when you do 🙏

These Jerusalem Artichokes will have months of prayed over love in them by the time they’re ready to be harvested. That’s a powerful thing that makes it all the more exciting when I look at them ❤️

We missed you last week, friends, and not only are we bursting with excitement to see you again, we’re bringing you the very first canned goods from this year’s garden:

Chunky Garden Harvest Sauce – true Food as Medicine in a Jar 🍅🌿

This week’s small-batch sauce was born from abundance—made with the overflow of our thriving garden and packed with healing ingredients. Here’s why each spoonful nourishes your body as much as it delights your taste buds:

🍅 Tomatoes – Rich in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that protects against cell damage and supports heart health. Especially potent when cooked!

🥒 Zucchini + Summer Squash (Gold, Yellow, Zephyr) – High in fiber, vitamin C, and potassium, these squash support digestion, reduce inflammation, and help regulate blood pressure.

🧅 White Onion – Contains quercetin, a natural antihistamine and anti-inflammatory compound that supports immune and respiratory health.

🧄 Garlic – A potent natural antibiotic and immune booster, garlic also supports heart health and reduces oxidative stress.

🌶️ Heirloom Pepper Vinegar – A splash of tangy heat that’s rich in capsaicin, which can support metabolism, reduce pain, and help clear congestion.

🧂 Celtic Sea Salt – Mineral-rich and unrefined, this salt helps maintain electrolyte balance and supports adrenal health—without the additives found in table salt.

This sauce is more than delicious—it’s healing, balancing, and made with intention from seed to simmer.

Nourish your body the way nature intended—with real food, grown with love and prayed over for your health ❤️

Limited jars available for delivery or pickup this Saturday. Head to our online farmstore and get your order in by Wednesday at 11PM.
