Big changes are coming. Pending our USDA FO loan approval we will be moving a scant 7 miles down the road and rebranding ourselves as Lipan Farms.

The new location will have a lot better soil for growing vegetables and fruits and a terrain that is more farm friendly than our currant location.

First update in a very very long time. Now that we are finally getting back into the swing of things we have exciting news. We are purchasing a Dexter cross for the farm. She will arrive with calf. We don't quite know if the calf will still be in mama or if she will be walking on her own by the time she gets here. We are extremely excited about the new arrival coming in March!

Way to go VT!!!!!

The Senate gave a decisive 26-2 vote Tuesday for a bill that would require labeling of foods that contain genetically modified ingredients, a strong indication that Vermont could become the first state in the nation to enact such a law.

It has been a long time since we have posted anything. It has been a rather tumultious period of time. We lost a family member and friend of the farm, George White, we will take all that we learned from him and continue to move forward. We are learning more everyday on how to ensure our animals health and safety. The measures that have served us thus far have to be tweaked to meet new challenges. We are getting ready for the new year with more turkeys and chickens on the way and deciding what crops we are going to try this year and how we are going to do it. It is going to be a trying but successful year come hell or high water.
