Our Story

We are a small Mom and Pop business. We are dedicated to using NO pesticides, fungicides and herbicides. Our focus is on healthy soil, which translates to health trees, which results in healthy fruit for you. Apples on Oak is a family-owned and operated orchard. We are no longer allowing U-Pick in our orchard. We are excited to offer our Barn2Door online store at our new website, applesonoak.com.

We feel we are in a unique situation to offer pre-picked apples of the varieties our U-pick customers have come to know and enjoy. There are 4 acres of trees comprised of 80 plus different apple varieties. There are over 20 apple varieties that are in large quantities, with our specialty varieties being limited. each one will be offered at the online store at their peak of ripeness. Our newsletters will keep you informed of the varieties as they become available. As you might expect, many of our apple varieties you will not find at your local grocery store. Give them a try and we are sure you will find one that will become your favorite. Our online store will be open for Apple Pies and garden produce in August 2020. This is he sad story of our 202 apple crop. Our apples froze out on May 9th, 2020, when the temps here in the orchard dipped to 21 degrees, while the trees were in full bloom. Frozen blossoms means no apples this year,2020 This year the Aunt Mary’s apple pies will be made with fresh picked Michigan apples as soon as they are available.

We are praying the trees respond to the intensive care regimen Larry is pouring into them, for a tasty, healthy crop of apples in 2021.
