Last night, I lost my father, a man small in stature but a giant in everything that mattered. A true American Son and Patriot.
He served his country proudly and honorably, carrying that same sense of duty into every part of his life. As a proud Local 705 Teamster, he fought fiercely—not just for himself but for every driver who followed. He pushed for fair wages, strong benefits, and health insurance that genuinely protects families. He always stood up for people who couldn’t stand up for themselves—no hesitation, no compromise. That’s just who he was: a little badass.
He’s the man who gave me my work ethic. He taught me how to navigate this world—street smart, life smart—without compromising righteousness, loyalty, or doing what’s right. He showed me strength isn’t about size; it’s about character. Never give up, never back down never be rat, keep your word.
Above all, he made sure I understood one thing: family is everything. Not just in the good times, but in the hard ones — you stick together, you carry each other, no matter what. He drilled that into my head over and over again, and that’s the foundation of who I am today.
He passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by love. Now he’s home with his mother and father, his siblings, and his first two children, who never got the chance to know him. And of course, my mother, who I’m sure is already reminding him about every dollar he owes her for groceries since 2009. If you know, you know. 😊
His legacy echoes in every life he touched—his service to the country, the future Teamsters whose benefits he fought to secure, and the family he built and anchored. I am who I am because of him.
Thank you, Pops. Rest easy. I love you, I thank you, and because of you, I got this s**t.
"I was born from the blood of a working man,
Stand and fight for those who can't!
I put my hand across my heart even through the hard times; I ain't afraid to sweat, I ain't afraid to bleed, Stand alone for what I believe! Rather die on my feet than live on my knees, There ain't no man that's gonna take it from me.
This land is hard, this land is mean
This dirt is red from the blood it's seen
Raised on the good book, hand on a gun
Never backing down, the American son."
