HICKORY, NC — Chaos erupted Thursday night when approximately 25 vertically-challenged rodeo enthusiasts staged a full-scale protest outside Valley Hills Mall after hearing rumors that the mall carousel could be removed.
Witnesses described the scene as “somewhere between a city council meeting and a hostage negotiation.
The demonstration remained peaceful at this time, though passionate.

One of the perks of my job is that I get to travel all across this great state. I’m constantly discovering hidden gems, local favorites, legendary BBQ joints, hole-in-the-wall diners, and restaurants you’ve probably driven past a hundred times without noticing.
