Liza had quite a few goals for the 2026 show season. One of them was to compete again and improve in the WCLA show series. Five of the nine total sheep she showed throughout the year were selected to accrue points in the junior division for their respective breed categories. Three wethers, two ewes, and eight jackpots.

This past Sunday we celebrated at the annual end of season banquet and couldn't be more proud of all her effort, dedication and everything she's accomplished. Each of the five lambs won awards, she was reserve in showmanship for her age, and she won sweepstakes with the most total points in her division.

From watching her help lamb out these animals to halter breaking them all, training them to show, exercising each of them, weighing out and mixing feed, working all their legs, helping fit, and practicing until well past her bedtime it's safe to say she deserves the success as much as anyone.

As a newer breeder having bred all of these sheep, the results are beyond what we imagined or could hope for at this point. Of course our hopes are always high, dreams are big, talk is tall, and plans are laid out the best we know how but to see it all come to fruition is both rewarding and encouraging. We may not be winning the shows, but we're kinda starting to play ball with some of the best showmen, breeders and sheep our sport has to offer in this state and in all reality... we're honestly proud just to share the ring.

We look forward to 2027 and can't wait to do it all over again.
