Beautiful day at the winery. Most of you know that our owner is retiring and we are selling off all our wine. Our estate vineyard was planted in 1999 with Clone 8 Cabernet Sauvignon on freedom rootstock. Our soil is sandy loam for thirty feet down which gives the vineyard great drainage so we can adjust the amount of water to the vines. It’s always exciting when we start pouring the next Dog Day Red. We bottled Dog Day #20 last month and we are ready to share it with you. Come by this weekend and taste #19 & #20 side by side. Don’t worry about weather, we have plenty of indoor tasting space.

One thing we love as we ease into fall, we get more requests for Port as the weather starts to cool. We will be offering a Sweet Tasting this weekend that includes, in addition to 3 ports, a recently bottled Late Harvest Zinfandel. Of course we will include Dog Day Red and Symphony.
