Two years ago, we took a big leap of faith and brought a little taste of Sunset Slush to downtown Logan. We had a dream of creating something special in our community, but never could have imagined all the love, support, and growth that would come our way! 🥹
Since then, we've grown from scoops of Italian ice into specialty coffee, baked goods, paninis, supporting EIGHT local bakers, crafters and women owned small businesses, and making wonderful memories and so much more! But the best part of these two years has been YOU! 🫶
Every visit, every purchase, every kind word, every share, and every time you choose to shop small helps continue to make this dream possible. You aren't just supporting a small business — you're helping us build something special right here in our community. And that means EVERYTHING to us! 🫶You've celebrated our wins, supported our growing pains, been patient as we've learned new things (still are, lol), and helped turn this little dream into something bigger than we ever imagined.

✨️Charlie is feeling better this evening! He's still not 100% but has greatly improved!Everyone has been so caring, concerned and asking about him so I thought an update was due 🐾 He's still sleeping a ton but thats okay. He's now eating, drinking and walking normally and even met me at the door when I got home from the shop tonight. Thanks so much for sending all the love and prayers!! 🙏 ❤️

✨️12:00 PM RE-OPENED ....thank you so much for your love, friendship & understanding.

***UPDATE*** We just received a call from the vet and Charlie very fortunately passed his bloodwork, physical and reflexes test. The best they can tell, during his nightly walk about before bed, they are thinking he may have injested something that caused him to show signs of stroke/seizure. While they cant at this time rule out that he had a stroke/seizure he is recovering very nicely and starting to act more normal and like himself. He is standing and not falling to his side any longer and has started walking. They are sending him home with meds for nausea and dizziness and at this time, ruling it as injestion of a toxic substance. We will be monitoring him extra close for any additional neurological incidents. I SO appreciate everyone's prayers and understand. It makes ALL the difference 🩵💛

***UPDATE***Charlie has been dropped off at Stevelts for evaluation/monitoring/testing. I am very grateful they are able to take him for emergency testing. I am also very grateful for the extra hands of Kaysie George, Ammara Jones and Karen N'Eric Thompson helping me lift him into my car. Now its a waiting game to see what is wrong with our boy 🐾

We woke up this morning at 5:30 AM and Charlie & Bernie always get up too and immediately want to go outside to take care of their business. Charlie didnt get up this morning like usual. His head was lifted and was looking at us, but he didnt immediately get up like normal. He has done this a couple of times in the past so it didnt immediately strike us as odd. The time was approaching where it was time so Ron was coaxing him to get up. Charlie got to the top of the stairs, took one step, and fell down the cabin stairs. He got up, but was very shaky and seemed confused. Ron helped him outside to do his business and his hind legs were super shaky but he was able to do what he needed to do and then just sat down. He was recently treated for eye allergies, so I told Ron maybe he was having some vertigo from allergies too? We got him settled on his bed and both left for work with the intention of Ron taking him to the vet as soon as he got home this afternoon. Once I got to work, I started asking Google for information and very quickly realized the possibility he had had a seizure or a stroke 😭 from what I was reading online. I closed the shop to get back home and get him emergency services. Currently, Charlie is weak, not standing well, startled easily, and falling to his right side. He seems to know he has legs, but not quite sure what to do with them 🥺 I am on my way back to the shop soon to reopen while we wait for testing results. I need to get myself together first. Please lift our Charlie up! He's my baby 🐾 He just turned 5 on the 7th of July. Ron said I couldnt get him (because we had just got a Bernese Mt Dog that same year in March) but I brought him home anyway because he chose me ☺️ I knew he wouldnt be mad for long. Ive included some pics so you can see how cute he is 🐾

🐾 Sunset Slush of Hocking Hills will be closing this morning (Friday, 10/09/26) effective 8:15 AM. We are having a family pet emergency. Im so sorry for any inconvenience. Please send prayers for my Charlie Boy and I'll keep you updated for reopen information. Sorry again!
