She finally has a name 🤎🐏

Asha Líf

A name that feels like it was always meant for her.

Asha means hope and life, and Líf means life in Old Norse/Icelandic — a quiet reminder of survival, resilience, and the fragile beauty of holding on.

This little white ewe came into the world through one of the hardest moments of lambing season. In the middle of exhaustion, fear, heartbreak, and fighting for her tiny life… she stayed.

She is the soft breath that continued, the warmth that remained in my hands, the little soul that chose to live.

Hope that refused to die / Life that fought its way in.

Her name will forever remind me that even after loss, life still finds a way to bloom 🤎

Last night, under a beautiful full moon and a cold spring sky, Astrid — a first-time mama — gave us a perfect little ram lamb, completely unassisted 🤎🐏

He’s gray moorit and weighed 7.26 lb at birth. Strong, bright, and already full of life — he was up and jumping around just a couple hours later, the sweetest little soul.

This marks the last of our Gulfoss lambs, and I couldn’t feel more grateful. He didn’t miss a single ewe — giving us 3 ewe lambs (we did lose one in that difficult twin tangle) and now this beautiful ram. Strong, healthy babies, just what we hope and work for.

I’m really excited to see how this little one develops — I have a feeling he’s going to carry some very special wool.

So in love already 🤎

We are beyond excited to officially announce the start of our journey 🦙🤎

Things have been a little crazy around here as we work on getting everything set up just right for these sweet ones—They are absolutely adorable, and we couldn’t be happier!

A huge thank you to Pink Pear Alpacas for this amazing opportunity 💛

Welcome home, Wendi, Leather, Divinity, Yukon, Cloudjumper, and our little sweetheart Mesa 🤎

Meet Andy the Ram 🐏🤎 (my daughter named him!)

He’s our little bottle baby—a black mouflon—and already stealing everyone’s heart. He’s so sweet and loves attention, so we’ll see how spoiled he ends up 😅

Right now, the plan is to watch how he grows and develops. He’s got some really great genetics, so we may give him a chance as a breeding ram first before become a wether. Time will tell!

Either way, we’re excited to have this little guy around—he’s already such a special addition 🫶

Family pic — Mom, Dad, and baby 🤎🐑

They’ve had a love story since the day they met… so it’s only fitting she was the first to lamb.

And honestly, I think that’s exactly why they made such a beautiful baby 🐏

She’s 3 weeks old today, weighing 23.14 lb… and I just keep admiring her 🤎

I really love her build—long body, big, strong… just like her momma.

So it’s time to give her the name that truly fits her.

Áslaug (OWS-log) — a powerful Old Norse name with deep roots in Viking history and legend.
The name of a legendary queen, daughter of Sigurd, the dragon slayer, and the shieldmaiden Brynhild.

And it fits her perfectly.

She is confident. Strong. Wild. Curious. Thriving.
An ewe meant to lead, to build,
to carry the flock forward.

Strength blessed by the gods, destined lineage 🤎🔥

Update on Caladwen and her baby 🤎🐑

Yesterday was a hard day. Caladwen was in pain and not herself… I gave her banamine and nutri drench, and she didn’t even clean her baby at first—I had to step in for her.

But by the evening, things started to turn around. I made her a warm tea with raspberry leaf, chamomile, and electrolytes, and she finally began to rest. She’s been eating a lot, I could see her coming back to herself.

Today, she’s doing so much better 🤎
She’s cleaning her baby, nursing is going well, and her little one is gaining weight.

I can’t even explain the relief I feel… I was hurting right there with her.

For now, she has her own quiet space with her daughter—safe, warm, and undisturbed. Tonight is cold and windy, but they’re tucked in together, just resting and healing.

Hoping she continues to recover strong from here 🤎
