Some things deserve to be celebrated before they become a memory.
Empower Wellness Cafe was built on a dream that we could reimagine our food system right here in Cass County. That we needed food that is nutrient dense, clean, sustainable and convenient.
Over the past 16 years, our Empower/Bodyworks community poured into Local Food Conversations- with local food farmers, hard working staff and loyal customers all representing a need.
We are so happy that Cass County has grown and evolved over the years in food/farming and that Empower Wellness can get back to our roots- classes and education.
And yet, there is still a great need for this type of food adventure in our community. We’ve been working diligently to try and preserve the Empower goodness with the question- HOW can we let all of this great work just fall into the archives?
We have a long-refined menu, processes and equipment that we dream of passing on to a new visionary so another can build upon the learnings that we had over the years.
What we have to preserve is not just equipment, but proven processes of three business concepts that Empower was built upon.
1. Cold-Pressed Juice, Wellness Shots and Cognitive Coffee. (1.5 pounds of produce in each jar) The community’s favorite juices- JADE + SUNLIGHT.
2. The Kitchen Menu- smoothies, salads (yes, the tahini dressing), quinoa bowls, chocolate ganache, açaí bowls and more.
3. The Local Food Store- retail coolers and connections to vendors as well as how to run a farm store.
These concepts can exist al la carte, or can be woven together.
If you are interested in pursuing any of these categories on in an “Inspired by Empower” way, these are the non-negotiables that you would need:
A location, access to capital to invest in your business, food service experience, an entrepreneurial spirit. This is a great opportunity for a community that has an incubator kitchen, to keep the startup costs low.
